Seth did a great job setting my new pendant Lights. Very professional and reasonably priced.
Thank you Seth for your professionalism and explaining the work to be done in detail. Definitely recommend their small business for all electrical needs.
We hired this electrician for our breaker panel replacement in Dallas after buying an older home. The existing panel wasn’t up to code and couldn’t support the modern appliances that got installed by the previous owner. They installed a new electrical service panel, whole home surge protection & hosted a city inspection. He explained everything very clearly. If you’re in need of a home electrical panel upgrade, I highly recommend them. The work was clean, efficient and the whole process was stress-free. Great experience from start to finish thanks guys!
Wallace Electric replaced some lighting fixtures as well as hung new ones for me at a reasonable price. They were able to come out the day after our estimate and even being behind schedule, were still able to finish the job. Everything looks exactly as I hoped. Highly recommend this family business.
These guys are awesome - I was painting for a customer and removed the can lights to remove popcorn texture, however they required some adjustment because of the new ceiling height. Wallace was hired by the customer to do other light renovations and so I asked them if they could add on a small scope. I know this was a big ask because it's always difficult to change your scope of work especially late at night as they were ( the customer was moving in the next day and working hard to add extra touches). But their service was awesome and obviously very skilled because the modification was quick and professional and the customer loved the seamless service. I also found the prices very affordable and would continue to do business with them.
Seth did an awesome job installing two ceiling fans. He did a great job of answering other questions I asked him. He was very friendly and respectful. He wired a Blink doorbell for free. Other companies where charging me $50 to connect two wires. I definitely would recommend using them and I will use them again if I need additional service.
I cannot say enough how great Wallace electric is, they came very fast at 10pm at night, we had an emergency and lost power in all outlets and lights. They had everything up and running in no time. Great attitudes, very smart, highly knowledgeable, nice guys. I will be using them in the future 110%, this is the type of company that is a gem and I very highly recommend them. They let u know all pricing up front, no hidden fees, answered all my questions, gave quotes for future projects. If you are needing an electrician in down, then call Wallace electric, I know I will.
I needed an outlet installed in my garage for my fridge and they installed it for me. Very fast and professional.
I had a fan transferred from master bedroom to game room and a new fan placed in the master bedroom. He was in and out like a breeze. Answered all questions and explained everything clearly. The best part is they are a local family owned business in my area.
Seth replaced 5 outlets, a few breaker switches, and fixed some broken switches and added grounding to them. He was very professional, explained what he was doing, and did everything up to code. We also got a promotional discount and a 2-year warranty. Overall a very pleasant experience and I'll be using the company if anything should happen in the future.
They rewired my house, and the customer service was exceptional and they accommodated all my needs, and answered all my questions. And did great work.
trustworthy! great work! They replaced my electrical panel and switches! they were very very professional would recommend!
Seth did a great job fixing my wiring in our breaker box and upgrading our ceiling fan. Fast worker and super friendly!
I was having some built in shelves installed that required an outlet. Caleb came recommended from my installer. Caleb set up an appointment and came out that next week. Caleb and his partner came on time and got right to work. They were absolutely great to work with. They were professional and treated my home with respect. The outlet was installed to the exact specifications that was needed by the installer. After they were done they made sure everything was I working order and then cleaned up. I was highly impressed. I will definitely be using his services again and will recommend him to my friends and family.

Electrical Inspection Service
An electrical inspection is a thorough, top to bottom examination of your home’s wiring, panel, outlets, and safety systems performed by a licensed professional. Many homeowners never give a single thought to their electrical system until something finally goes wrong, yet that system works hard every hour behind the walls. An inspection reveals the hidden condition of that entire system long before a small, manageable problem becomes a genuinely dangerous one. Wallace Electric provides detailed, professional electrical inspections for homes and businesses throughout Burleson and the surrounding communities we are proud to serve. We carefully inspect for safety hazards, code violations, outdated components, and the early warning signs of failure throughout your property. Buyers, sellers, and homeowners maintaining their own property all gain real peace of mind from a complete inspection of the system. Our licensed electricians carefully examine the whole electrical system rather than narrowly focusing on a single visible problem in front of them. We check the main panel, the branch wiring, the grounding, the outlets, and all the protective devices found throughout the property. We then explain our findings in plain language so you understand the true condition of your home. That clear, honest, and complete picture is exactly what allows you to make smart, confident decisions about your electrical safety.
There are many good reasons to schedule an electrical inspection for your home or business. Buying a home is one of the most common reasons, since you genuinely deserve to know exactly what you are purchasing. A home may look absolutely perfect on the surface while quietly hiding outdated wiring or a genuinely unsafe panel behind its finished walls. Selling a home is another strong reason, because an inspection can identify and resolve issues before they ever have a chance to derail a sale. Older homes especially benefit from a careful inspection, since their aging systems may no longer meet today’s current safety standards. A major renovation or a home addition is also a good time to confirm that the existing electrical system can actually support the new demands. Insurance companies themselves sometimes require a completed inspection before they will agree to write or renew a homeowner’s policy. Frequent breaker trips, flickering lights, warm outlets, or other warning signs are all clear reasons to schedule an inspection. Even a home with no obvious problems still benefits greatly from a periodic inspection as a form of smart preventive maintenance. Each one of these situations is a valuable chance to catch problems early, protect your investment, and keep your family safe.
A thorough electrical inspection covers far more than a quick glance at the panel. Our electricians begin right at the service entrance, where the power first enters your home from the utility company. We examine the main panel closely for proper installation, adequate capacity, correct grounding, and any visible signs of heat or damage. We look closely for signs of overheating, corrosion, double tapped breakers, and any improper modifications left behind by past work. We test outlets throughout the entire home to confirm they are properly grounded and wired with the correct polarity. We check that proper GFCI and AFCI protection is present in every location where the current code requires it. We inspect all visible wiring for damage, improper splices, and outdated materials such as old knob and tube wiring. We also confirm that smoke detectors and other essential safety devices are present, properly placed, and fully functioning. We carefully evaluate the grounding and bonding to ensure the entire system can handle a fault quickly and safely. Each one of these careful checks builds toward a complete and accurate picture of your electrical system’s overall health.
Certain findings come up again and again during electrical inspections of older homes. Outdated panels from certain manufacturers with a documented history of failure are a common and genuinely serious concern. Ungrounded outlets and two prong receptacles reveal circuits that completely lack the modern safety protection homeowners expect today. Double tapped breakers, where two separate wires share a single breaker improperly, are a frequent and easily overlooked code violation. Missing GFCI protection in kitchens, bathrooms, garages, and outdoor areas is another regular and important finding. Aluminum branch wiring, which was common in homes built during a certain era, requires special attention and care for safety. Overloaded circuits, improper splices, and amateur wiring modifications from past do it yourself work turn up often as well. Aging or missing smoke detectors are a life safety issue we frequently identify. Our electricians document each and every finding clearly and then explain its real significance for the safety of your home. This honest, straightforward reporting helps you prioritize any needed repairs based on real risk rather than guesswork or scare tactics.
The value of an electrical inspection lies in catching problems before they cause harm. Electrical faults are a leading cause of house fires across the country, and many of them start from issues that a proper inspection would catch. A single loose connection, an overloaded circuit, or a slowly failing breaker can smolder unseen behind a wall for a very long time. An inspection brings these hidden dangers into the light where they can be addressed. Catching an electrical problem early is almost always far cheaper than dealing with the costly damage it causes later on. An inspection also directly protects the people living in your home from the very real risks of electric shock and fire. For buyers, an inspection prevents the costly and stressful surprise of unknowingly inheriting someone else’s hidden electrical problems. For sellers, an inspection removes the kind of obstacles that could otherwise delay or even derail a closing. The modest cost of an inspection is small compared to the protection it provides. This is exactly why we consider a thorough inspection to be one of the smartest and most worthwhile investments a homeowner can make.
After the inspection is complete, you receive a clear and detailed report of everything we found in your system. We explain each issue we find in clear, plain language rather than burying it under confusing technical jargon. We carefully prioritize the findings so you always know which items are truly urgent and which ones can safely wait. We clearly separate the genuine safety hazards from the minor items that simply deserve some future attention down the road. We provide honest recommendations without pressure to buy services you do not need. If repairs are warranted, we clearly explain all of your options along with the practical reasoning behind each one. You remain fully in control of every decision about your own home throughout the entire process. This transparency is central to how we treat every customer we serve. Because we are a full service electrical company, we can also perform any of the repairs that the inspection happens to reveal. That valuable continuity means you work with one trusted team from the initial inspection all the way through to full resolution.
Choosing Wallace Electric for your electrical inspection means choosing thoroughness, honesty, and genuine care for your safety. We are a family owned and operated company with deep roots in the Burleson community we serve. Flexible financing options help you comfortably handle any repairs the inspection reveals without straining your household budget all at once. A five year parts and labor warranty stands firmly behind any work we perform. We explain every finding in plain language so you can make confident, informed decisions. For urgent safety concerns that cannot wait, our emergency electricians are available around the clock to help you fast. When you need an honest, thorough electrical inspection, our experienced team is always ready to assist.
The Importance of a Licensed Electrician for Electrical Inspection in Burleson, TX
An electrical inspection is only as good as the professional performing it. A licensed electrician brings the training and experience to recognize hazards a casual look would miss. In Texas, electrical licensing is regulated by the state to protect homeowners from unqualified work. A licensed professional knows the National Electrical Code and the local amendments enforced around Burleson. They understand how to evaluate a panel, test a circuit, and identify a failing component. They recognize the warning signs of outdated panels, aluminum wiring, and improper modifications. They can tell the difference between a genuine hazard and a minor item that simply needs monitoring. A thorough inspection requires knowing not just what to look at but what each finding means. A licensed electrician also carries insurance that protects you during the inspection process. An unqualified inspection may miss the very dangers it was meant to catch. That false sense of security can be more dangerous than no inspection at all. Wallace Electric sends only licensed, background checked technicians to every inspection, so nothing important gets overlooked.

Commonly Asked Electrical Inspection Questions
Electrical inspections raise several practical questions about what they cover, when to get one, and what the findings mean. The answers below address the topics homeowners across Burleson ask us about most often.
A complete electrical inspection covers the entire system from the service entrance to the outlets. Our electricians begin where power enters your home from the utility. We examine the main panel for proper installation, capacity, grounding, and signs of damage. We look for overheating, corrosion, double tapped breakers, and improper modifications inside the panel. We test outlets throughout the home to confirm proper grounding and correct polarity. We verify that GFCI and AFCI protection is present where the code requires it. We inspect visible wiring for damage, improper splices, and outdated materials. This comprehensive approach examines the system as a connected whole.
The inspection also includes the safety devices that protect your home. We confirm that smoke detectors are present, properly placed, and functioning. We evaluate the grounding and bonding to ensure the system can handle a fault safely. We check for missing protection in areas like kitchens, bathrooms, and outdoor spaces. We look for signs of overloaded circuits and amateur wiring work. We identify outdated panels from manufacturers with a history of safety problems. Each of these checks targets a specific area where hazards commonly hide. Together they reveal the true condition of your electrical system.
After the inspection, we provide a clear report of everything we found. We explain each issue in plain language rather than technical jargon. We prioritize the findings so you know what is urgent and what can wait. We separate genuine hazards from minor items that simply deserve attention. We offer honest recommendations without pressure to buy unnecessary services. If repairs are needed, we explain your options clearly. You stay in control of every decision about your home. For a thorough inspection and an honest report, trust the team at Wallace Electric.
The cost of an electrical inspection depends on the size and complexity of your home. A smaller home with a straightforward system costs less to inspect than a large one. The age of the home matters, since older systems require more careful examination. The number of panels, circuits, and outlets affects the time the inspection takes. A basic safety inspection differs in scope from a detailed inspection for a home purchase. The accessibility of the wiring and panel can also influence the cost. Because every home differs, Wallace Electric provides clear pricing before we begin. We believe an inspection should be affordable given the protection it provides.
An electrical inspection is a modest investment compared to the risks it addresses. Electrical faults are a leading cause of house fires, and an inspection catches many of them. The cost of catching a problem early is small compared to the damage it can cause. For a home purchase, an inspection can prevent inheriting expensive hidden problems. For a sale, it can keep a deal on track and avoid last minute surprises. The peace of mind alone often justifies the cost for many homeowners. We price our inspections fairly so safety stays within reach. This value is part of why we recommend periodic inspections.
The most accurate way to learn the cost is to contact us about your specific home. We consider the size, age, and complexity of your electrical system. We explain exactly what the inspection will cover and what it will cost. We provide transparent pricing with no hidden charges added later. If the inspection reveals repairs, we can quote those separately and clearly. You decide how to proceed with full information in hand. This honest approach has earned the trust of homeowners throughout Burleson. Call Wallace Electric today for inspection pricing tailored to your home.
How often you need an electrical inspection depends on several factors. As a general guideline, many experts recommend an inspection every few years for an average home. Older homes benefit from more frequent inspections because their systems age and degrade. A home over a few decades old deserves closer attention than newer construction. Homes that have had major electrical work should be inspected after that work is complete. A home you have just purchased should be inspected if it was not before the sale. These intervals help catch problems before they grow into hazards. Regular inspection is a form of preventive maintenance for your electrical system.
Certain events should always prompt an inspection regardless of the schedule. Buying or selling a home is a clear reason to have the system inspected. A major renovation or addition is another, since it changes the electrical demand. Adding large appliances or equipment can also warrant an inspection of your capacity. Any warning signs deserve immediate attention rather than waiting for a scheduled inspection. Frequent breaker trips, flickering lights, or warm outlets all signal a need to inspect. A burning smell or a mild shock from an appliance is an urgent reason to call. These situations override any general timeline because they point to active problems.
For most homeowners, a periodic inspection paired with attention to warning signs works well. The periodic inspection catches slow developing issues before they become dangerous. Watching for warning signs catches sudden problems as they arise. Together, these habits keep your electrical system safe over the long term. Our electricians can recommend an inspection schedule suited to your specific home. We consider the age, condition, and usage of your system. This tailored approach gives you the right level of protection. To set up a sensible inspection schedule, contact Wallace Electric.
An electrical inspection is highly recommended when buying a house. A general home inspection often includes only a basic look at the electrical system. A dedicated electrical inspection by a licensed electrician goes much deeper. It examines the panel, wiring, grounding, and safety devices in real detail. This thoroughness reveals problems that a general inspection might miss entirely. Buying a home is a major investment, and you deserve to know its true condition. Hidden electrical problems can be expensive and dangerous to inherit. An inspection protects you from those costly surprises.
Older homes especially warrant an electrical inspection before purchase. A home built decades ago may have outdated wiring, an unsafe panel, or missing grounding. These issues are not always visible during a casual walkthrough of the property. An inspection identifies them so you can factor repairs into your decision. You may be able to negotiate repairs or price based on the findings. You may also decide the issues are manageable and proceed with confidence. Either way, you make the decision with full information. That knowledge is invaluable during a major purchase.
The cost of an inspection is small compared to the protection it offers a buyer. Discovering a failing panel before closing is far better than after moving in. The inspection report gives you a clear picture of what you are buying. It also helps you plan and budget for any future electrical work. Our electricians provide honest, thorough inspections for home buyers across Burleson. We explain our findings clearly so you understand the system’s condition. We never pressure you toward unnecessary repairs. For a home buying electrical inspection you can trust, contact Wallace Electric.
Most electrical inspections take a few hours to complete thoroughly. The exact time depends on the size and complexity of your home. A smaller home with a straightforward system takes less time than a large one. An older home with more to examine naturally takes longer. The number of panels, circuits, and outlets affects the duration as well. A detailed inspection for a home purchase may take longer than a basic safety check. We never rush the process, since thoroughness is the entire point. We give you a realistic time estimate before we begin.
A thorough inspection involves examining many parts of the system carefully. We start at the service entrance and work through the panel methodically. We test outlets throughout the home and check the protective devices. We inspect visible wiring and evaluate the grounding and bonding. Each of these steps takes time to do properly. Cutting any of them short would defeat the purpose of the inspection. Our electricians work efficiently while remaining thorough at every step. The time invested is what makes the inspection valuable.
The inspection time is well spent given the protection it provides. A few hours of careful examination can reveal hazards that took years to develop. That investment of time protects your home and family for years to come. After the inspection, we take additional time to explain our findings. We walk you through the report so you understand the condition of your system. We answer your questions and discuss any recommended repairs. This communication is an important part of the overall process. For a thorough inspection done right, trust the team at Wallace Electric.
Several problems show up repeatedly during electrical inspections, especially in older homes. Outdated panels from manufacturers with a history of failure are among the most serious. These panels can fail to trip during a fault, leaving circuits dangerously unprotected. Ungrounded outlets and two prong receptacles are another very common finding. They indicate circuits that lack the modern safety protection homeowners expect. Double tapped breakers, where two wires improperly share one breaker, appear frequently. Missing GFCI protection in kitchens, bathrooms, and outdoor areas is also common. Each of these issues represents a real gap in your home’s electrical safety.
Wiring problems are another category that inspections frequently uncover. Aluminum wiring, common in homes from a certain era, requires special safety attention. Improper splices and connections made outside of junction boxes turn up often. Amateur wiring modifications from past do it yourself work create hidden hazards. Overloaded circuits that carry more than they should are a regular finding. Damaged or deteriorated wiring insulation can expose conductors and create risk. Outdated wiring methods like knob and tube sometimes appear in very old homes. These wiring issues often hide behind walls until an inspection reveals them.
Safety device problems round out the most common findings. Aging or missing smoke detectors are a frequent life safety concern. Improper grounding and bonding can compromise the entire system’s protection. Surge protection may be absent, leaving electronics vulnerable to damage. Outlets near water without GFCI protection pose a shock hazard. Our electricians document each of these findings clearly during the inspection. We explain the significance of each one for your safety. We then help you prioritize repairs based on real risk. To uncover these hidden problems in your home, contact Wallace Electric.
An electrical inspection does not result in a simple pass or fail like a test. Instead, it produces a report of findings about your system’s condition. Some findings are urgent safety hazards that need prompt attention. Others are minor items that simply deserve monitoring or future repair. The report prioritizes these findings so you understand their relative importance. This approach gives you a clear roadmap rather than a single verdict. You learn exactly what is safe and what needs work. That detailed picture is far more useful than a pass or fail grade.
When the inspection reveals serious problems, you have clear options to address them. Our electricians explain each issue and the recommended repair in plain language. We help you understand which repairs are urgent and which can wait. We provide honest estimates so you can plan and budget accordingly. You remain in control of every decision about your home. We never pressure you into repairs you do not need. Because we are a full service company, we can handle the repairs ourselves. This continuity means you work with one trusted team throughout.
For a home sale, inspection findings can be addressed before closing. Repairing serious issues can keep a deal on track and reassure buyers. For a purchase, findings can inform your negotiation or your decision. For your own home, addressing findings improves safety and peace of mind. The goal of an inspection is never to fail your home but to protect it. Identifying problems is the first step toward fixing them. Our electricians guide you through that process with honesty and care. To address inspection findings in your home, trust the team at Wallace Electric.
Electrical inspection requirements in Texas depend on the situation and the local jurisdiction. When you have electrical work done that requires a permit, an inspection is typically required. Cities around Burleson, including those in Tarrant and Johnson counties, enforce these rules. The permit process triggers an inspection that confirms the work meets code. This kind of inspection is a legal requirement tied to the permitted work. It protects you, your home, and any future owners of the property. Skipping a required inspection can create problems with safety and resale. Wallace Electric handles this process as part of our permitted work.
For a home that is simply being maintained or sold, the rules differ. A voluntary inspection is not generally required by law in those cases. However, many situations make an inspection strongly advisable even when not mandated. A home purchase, an older home, or warning signs all warrant an inspection. Insurance companies sometimes require an inspection as a condition of coverage. Lenders may also request one during a real estate transaction. These requirements come from the parties involved rather than from state law. An inspection is often necessary in practice even when not legally mandated.
The smartest approach is to treat inspection as a safety priority rather than a legal checkbox. Even when no law requires it, an inspection protects your home and family. The cost is small compared to the risk of an undetected hazard. Our electricians perform thorough inspections whether they are required or voluntary. We follow all permitting and inspection requirements for our permitted work. We also offer voluntary inspections for homeowners who want peace of mind. This dual approach keeps you both compliant and safe. To schedule an inspection for any reason, contact Wallace Electric.
