Professional Dedicated Circuit Installation Services in Burleson
A dedicated circuit gives a single appliance its own power line straight from the panel. At Wallace Electric, our licensed technicians install these circuits so your demanding equipment runs without competing for power. Major appliances like refrigerators, ranges, and air conditioners draw heavy current that a shared circuit cannot handle. When too many devices share one circuit, breakers trip and appliances underperform. A dedicated circuit solves this by delivering steady, exclusive power to one piece of equipment. We size each circuit precisely to the appliance it serves and to the National Electrical Code. Our team confirms your panel has the capacity before adding any new circuit. Every connection is torqued to specification and inspected before we restore power. We label each circuit clearly so it is easy to identify at the panel later. Our background checked technicians work cleanly and explain every step in plain language. With a five year parts and labor warranty available, your new circuit is backed for years. Wallace Electric makes dedicated circuit installation safe, precise, and built to last.

Seth did a great job setting my new pendant Lights. Very professional and reasonably priced.
Thank you Seth for your professionalism and explaining the work to be done in detail. Definitely recommend their small business for all electrical needs.
We hired this electrician for our breaker panel replacement in Dallas after buying an older home. The existing panel wasn’t up to code and couldn’t support the modern appliances that got installed by the previous owner. They installed a new electrical service panel, whole home surge protection & hosted a city inspection. He explained everything very clearly. If you’re in need of a home electrical panel upgrade, I highly recommend them. The work was clean, efficient and the whole process was stress-free. Great experience from start to finish thanks guys!
Wallace Electric replaced some lighting fixtures as well as hung new ones for me at a reasonable price. They were able to come out the day after our estimate and even being behind schedule, were still able to finish the job. Everything looks exactly as I hoped. Highly recommend this family business.
These guys are awesome - I was painting for a customer and removed the can lights to remove popcorn texture, however they required some adjustment because of the new ceiling height. Wallace was hired by the customer to do other light renovations and so I asked them if they could add on a small scope. I know this was a big ask because it's always difficult to change your scope of work especially late at night as they were ( the customer was moving in the next day and working hard to add extra touches). But their service was awesome and obviously very skilled because the modification was quick and professional and the customer loved the seamless service. I also found the prices very affordable and would continue to do business with them.
Seth did an awesome job installing two ceiling fans. He did a great job of answering other questions I asked him. He was very friendly and respectful. He wired a Blink doorbell for free. Other companies where charging me $50 to connect two wires. I definitely would recommend using them and I will use them again if I need additional service.
I cannot say enough how great Wallace electric is, they came very fast at 10pm at night, we had an emergency and lost power in all outlets and lights. They had everything up and running in no time. Great attitudes, very smart, highly knowledgeable, nice guys. I will be using them in the future 110%, this is the type of company that is a gem and I very highly recommend them. They let u know all pricing up front, no hidden fees, answered all my questions, gave quotes for future projects. If you are needing an electrician in down, then call Wallace electric, I know I will.
I needed an outlet installed in my garage for my fridge and they installed it for me. Very fast and professional.
I had a fan transferred from master bedroom to game room and a new fan placed in the master bedroom. He was in and out like a breeze. Answered all questions and explained everything clearly. The best part is they are a local family owned business in my area.
Seth replaced 5 outlets, a few breaker switches, and fixed some broken switches and added grounding to them. He was very professional, explained what he was doing, and did everything up to code. We also got a promotional discount and a 2-year warranty. Overall a very pleasant experience and I'll be using the company if anything should happen in the future.
They rewired my house, and the customer service was exceptional and they accommodated all my needs, and answered all my questions. And did great work.
trustworthy! great work! They replaced my electrical panel and switches! they were very very professional would recommend!
Seth did a great job fixing my wiring in our breaker box and upgrading our ceiling fan. Fast worker and super friendly!
I was having some built in shelves installed that required an outlet. Caleb came recommended from my installer. Caleb set up an appointment and came out that next week. Caleb and his partner came on time and got right to work. They were absolutely great to work with. They were professional and treated my home with respect. The outlet was installed to the exact specifications that was needed by the installer. After they were done they made sure everything was I working order and then cleaned up. I was highly impressed. I will definitely be using his services again and will recommend him to my friends and family.

Dedicated Circuit Installation Service
A dedicated circuit is an electrical circuit that serves one single appliance or device and absolutely nothing else at all. Most circuits in a typical home are general purpose, feeding several outlets, lights, and various devices from a single shared breaker. A dedicated circuit breaks from that pattern by running power from its own breaker straight to one piece of equipment. This careful design gives that single appliance the full, uninterrupted current it genuinely needs without ever competing against anything else on the line. Wallace Electric installs dedicated circuits for homes and businesses throughout Burleson and the surrounding communities we serve. We wire dedicated circuits for refrigerators, electric ranges, dryers, microwaves, air conditioners, EV chargers, and many other demanding appliances. High draw equipment quickly overwhelms a shared circuit, tripping breakers repeatedly and starving the device of the steady power it actually requires. A dedicated circuit solves that frustrating problem permanently by giving the appliance a clear and completely exclusive path back to the panel. Our licensed electricians size each circuit precisely to the equipment it serves and to the National Electrical Code. That precise and careful sizing is the real difference between an appliance that runs reliably for years and one that quietly struggles every single day.
Many household appliances either require or strongly benefit from a circuit all their own. Major kitchen appliances like refrigerators, dishwashers, built in microwaves, and electric ranges draw heavy current during their normal everyday use. The kitchen alone often needs several separate dedicated circuits in order to handle its many high demand appliances both safely and reliably. Laundry equipment, including heavy electric dryers and modern washing machines, also clearly calls for its own dedicated power supply. Heating and cooling equipment such as central air conditioners, electric furnaces, and large space heaters belongs on its own dedicated circuits as well. Modern additions like EV chargers, hot tubs, and electric water heaters demand their own circuits without exception. Even sensitive electronics, such as a home office computer setup or a home theater system, can benefit greatly from a clean and dedicated power supply. Code actually requires dedicated circuits for many of these appliances, not merely as a recommendation but as a rule. Our electricians know exactly which equipment needs its own circuit and which can safely share. We apply that hard earned knowledge to keep your home both fully code compliant and dependably powered at all times.
The signs that you need a dedicated circuit are often easy to recognize once you know them. A breaker that trips whenever a particular appliance switches on or runs is one of the clearest and most common warnings. Lights that dim when the air conditioner or microwave kicks on point to a circuit under strain. An outlet or plug that feels warm to the touch signals a circuit carrying more than it should. Extension cords and power strips feeding major appliances are a sign that dedicated circuits are missing. Frequent breaker trips in the kitchen or the laundry room usually mean those particular areas are seriously overloaded and need attention. An appliance that never quite performs at full capacity may be starved for power on a shared line. These symptoms are far more than a simple inconvenience, because an overloaded circuit generates heat inside the walls and creates a genuine fire risk. Recognizing these warning signs early lets you add a dedicated circuit before a small and manageable problem turns into a serious hazard. Our electricians diagnose these issues and recommend the right solution for your home.
Installing a dedicated circuit involves several steps that all demand precision and care. We begin every job by confirming that your electrical panel has an open slot and enough spare capacity for the new circuit. If the panel is full or near its limit, we discuss a subpanel or a service upgrade with you first. Once the available capacity is confirmed, we carefully select a breaker and a conductor sized exactly to the appliance that the circuit will serve. We run the properly rated cable from the panel to the appliance location through walls, attics, or conduit. Securing that cable correctly protects it from abrasion, which is a common cause of hidden electrical faults. We install the correct outlet or connection at the appliance end, matched to its voltage and amperage. Every connection is torqued to specification and inspected before we ever energize the new circuit. We then label the breaker clearly so the circuit is easy to identify during any future work. The result is a clean, organized, and reliable circuit that delivers steady, uninterrupted power to your appliance for many years to come.
Dedicated circuits are not a one size fits all installation, since each appliance has its own requirements. A standard refrigerator may need a 120 volt circuit, while an electric range needs a 240 volt circuit. An EV charger often requires a heavy 240 volt circuit that is capable of delivering substantial continuous current over long charging sessions. A hot tub demands its own circuit with ground fault protection because of its proximity to water. The required voltage, the amperage, and the specific type of protection all change based on the particular equipment involved. Our electricians read the appliance specifications and match the circuit to those exact requirements. We never guess at sizing, because an undersized circuit overheats and an oversized breaker fails to protect the wire. We also carefully consider the distance from the panel, since longer runs may require an upsized conductor to prevent voltage drop. These details rarely cross a homeowner’s mind, yet they determine whether the circuit performs safely. Getting each one of these details right is truly the heart of a proper and lasting dedicated circuit installation.
A dedicated circuit installation is also a chance to look at the bigger picture of your electrical system. While we work inside the panel, our electricians take the time to evaluate its overall capacity and general condition. We confirm that the panel can comfortably handle the new circuit without ever being pushed beyond its safe rated capacity. If the panel is already strained, we explain whether a subpanel or service upgrade makes more sense. We check the grounding and bonding, since these protect both the appliance and the people using it. We look for signs of overheating, corrosion, or past modifications that could affect the new work. Adding a dedicated circuit for a major appliance often reveals whether the whole home needs more capacity. We share these findings honestly so you can plan for both today’s needs and tomorrow’s. Whole house surge protection is another valuable safeguard we can add to protect your sensitive and expensive equipment. Treating the electrical system as one connected whole ensures your new circuit fits safely and sensibly into the larger picture.

The Importance of a Licensed Electrician for Dedicated Circuit Installation in Burleson, TX
Installing a dedicated circuit requires real knowledge of load calculations, conductor sizing, and panel capacity. A licensed electrician brings the training and experience that this work genuinely demands. In Texas, electrical licensing is regulated by the state to protect homeowners from unqualified and unsafe work. A licensed professional knows how to size the breaker and wire to match the appliance exactly. They can tell whether your panel has the capacity to accept a new circuit safely. They follow the National Electrical Code along with the local amendments enforced around Burleson. They pull the proper permits and schedule inspections when the work requires them. That documentation keeps your home legal and protects you when you sell or insure it. A licensed electrician also carries insurance that protects you financially if something goes wrong. Unlicensed work may save money today and create an overloaded, dangerous circuit tomorrow. A circuit sized incorrectly can overheat, damage your appliance, or even start a fire. Wallace Electric sends only licensed, background checked technicians to every job, so your home is always in capable hands.
24/7 EMERGENCY SUPPORT
Electrical problems can happen without warning and often require immediate attention to keep your home safe. Commonly Asked Dedicated Circuit Installation Questions
Dedicated circuit installation raises several practical questions about which appliances need them and how they work. The answers below address the topics homeowners across Burleson ask us about most often.
A dedicated circuit is an electrical circuit that powers a single appliance or device exclusively. It runs from its own breaker in the panel directly to one piece of equipment. Nothing else shares that circuit, so the appliance gets the full current the breaker allows. A regular circuit, by contrast, feeds multiple outlets, lights, and devices from a single breaker. That shared arrangement works fine for low draw items like lamps and phone chargers. The difference matters most when an appliance draws heavy current during normal operation. A dedicated circuit ensures that heavy load never competes with anything else for power. This is why major appliances so often require a circuit of their own.
The practical effect of a dedicated circuit is reliable, uninterrupted power for the appliance. A shared circuit can become overloaded when several devices run at the same time. That overload trips the breaker and cuts power to everything on the circuit. A dedicated circuit removes that risk by serving only one device. The appliance receives steady current without the dips and interruptions of a shared line. This protects the equipment and helps it perform the way the manufacturer intended. It also prevents the breaker trips that frustrate homeowners with overloaded circuits. The result is both better performance and greater safety.
Knowing which appliances need a dedicated circuit is part of an electrician’s expertise. Refrigerators, ranges, dryers, microwaves, and air conditioners typically require their own circuits. Code mandates dedicated circuits for many of these appliances rather than leaving it optional. Our electricians evaluate your appliances and your existing wiring to identify what each one needs. We then install dedicated circuits sized correctly for the equipment they serve. This keeps your home both code compliant and reliably powered. Understanding the difference helps you recognize when an upgrade is needed. For help adding dedicated circuits to your home, trust the team at Wallace Electric.
Many major appliances require a dedicated circuit to operate safely and reliably. Electric ranges and ovens draw heavy current and need their own 240 volt circuit. Electric dryers also require a dedicated 240 volt circuit because of their high power demand. Refrigerators benefit from a dedicated circuit so a tripped breaker never spoils your food. Dishwashers and garbage disposals typically need their own circuits under current code. Built in microwaves draw enough power to warrant a dedicated circuit of their own. Air conditioners and furnaces require dedicated circuits sized to their specific loads. These appliances share one trait, which is a heavy and steady demand for power.
Modern homes have added several more appliances to this list over the years. EV chargers require a dedicated 240 volt circuit capable of delivering substantial continuous current. Hot tubs and spas need dedicated circuits with ground fault protection for safety near water. Electric water heaters draw enough power to demand a circuit of their own. Pool equipment, including pumps and heaters, also requires dedicated wiring. Even some large countertop appliances can benefit from dedicated power in a busy kitchen. As homes add more high draw equipment, the need for dedicated circuits grows. Our electricians stay current with these requirements to keep your home safe.
Determining exactly what your home needs requires a professional evaluation. Code requirements specify dedicated circuits for many appliances, but the details vary by situation. Our electricians review your appliances, your panel, and your local code requirements. We identify which equipment needs a dedicated circuit and which can safely share. We then install each circuit sized correctly for the appliance it serves. This keeps your home compliant and protects both your equipment and your family. Guessing at these requirements risks overloaded circuits and failed inspections. For an accurate assessment of your home’s needs, contact Wallace Electric.
The cost to install a dedicated circuit depends on several factors unique to your home. The distance from the panel to the appliance location is one of the biggest factors. A short run costs less than a long run that crosses the house or climbs into the attic. The voltage and amperage of the circuit also affect the price, since heavier circuits use larger wire. A 120 volt circuit generally costs less than a heavy 240 volt circuit for a range or EV charger. The condition and capacity of your panel play a major role in the total cost. Running the wire through finished walls takes more time than an open, accessible path. Because every installation differs, Wallace Electric provides a clear written quote before any work begins.
The state of your electrical panel can change the scope of the project significantly. If your panel has an open slot and spare capacity, the job stays straightforward and affordable. If the panel is full, you may need a tandem breaker, a subpanel, or a service upgrade. A panel upgrade adds to the cost but may be necessary to support the new circuit safely. We inspect the panel before quoting so you understand exactly what your situation requires. Permit fees in your local jurisdiction may also apply to the work. We handle the permitting so you never have to navigate that process alone. Financing options are available to make larger circuit and panel projects easier on your budget.
The most accurate way to learn your cost is to have a licensed electrician evaluate the project. We examine your panel, measure the run, and confirm the appliance requirements. We determine whether your panel can support the new circuit or needs an upgrade first. From there, we build a transparent estimate that lists each part of the work clearly. You will know exactly what you are paying for before we begin. We never add hidden charges once the job is underway. This honest approach has earned the trust of homeowners throughout Burleson. Call Wallace Electric today for an accurate dedicated circuit installation quote.
In many cases, you can add a dedicated circuit to your existing panel. The key question is whether your panel has an open slot and enough spare capacity. An open slot provides the physical space to add a new breaker for the circuit. Spare capacity means the panel can handle the additional load without being overloaded. When both conditions are met, adding a dedicated circuit is a straightforward job. Our electricians confirm these conditions before installing any new circuit. We perform a load calculation to verify the panel can safely support the addition. This evaluation protects your home from the hidden dangers of an overloaded panel.
Sometimes a panel lacks the space or capacity for a new circuit. A full panel has no open slots, leaving no obvious room for another breaker. In that case, a tandem breaker may fit two circuits into one slot, if the panel allows it. When tandem breakers are not an option, a subpanel can add the space you need. A subpanel is fed from the main panel and provides room for several new circuits. If the panel is also at its capacity limit, a service upgrade may be the right move. We explain these options honestly so you can choose the best path for your home. The right solution depends on your panel, your load, and your future plans.
Adding a circuit to an existing panel is work that belongs with a licensed electrician. The job involves working inside an energized panel, where mistakes can be dangerous. A licensed professional knows how to size the breaker and wire for the new appliance. They confirm the panel can handle the load before adding anything to it. They make every connection to code and test the circuit before restoring power. This protects your home and ensures the work passes any required inspection. Attempting this without proper training risks both safety and a poor result. For a safe addition to your panel, trust the team at Wallace Electric.
A breaker that trips when you use a certain appliance is sending a clear signal. The most common cause is an overloaded circuit, where the appliance draws more current than the circuit allows. When that appliance shares a circuit with other devices, their combined demand exceeds the breaker rating. The breaker trips to protect the wiring from overheating, which is exactly its job. A high draw appliance on a shared circuit is a frequent and very fixable cause. The solution is often a dedicated circuit that gives the appliance its own power. This removes the competition for current and stops the nuisance tripping. Recognizing this pattern helps you address the real problem.
Other causes can also lead to a breaker tripping with a specific appliance. A short circuit within the appliance or its cord can trip the breaker instantly. A ground fault sends current down an unintended path and trips the breaker just as fast. A failing appliance may draw excessive current as its motor or components wear out. A loose connection on the circuit can cause tripping that seems tied to the appliance. Our electricians test the circuit and the appliance to find the true cause. We measure the current draw and compare it to the breaker rating. This testing separates an overload from a fault or a failing device.
The right fix depends on what is actually causing the trip. If the circuit is overloaded, a dedicated circuit usually solves the problem for good. If a fault exists in the wiring, we trace and repair it at the source. If the appliance itself is failing, we point you toward the right repair. Resetting the breaker without finding the cause only delays the real solution. Repeatedly tripping a breaker stresses the wiring and the breaker over time. Our methodical approach finds the root cause and corrects it properly. If a certain appliance keeps tripping your breaker, call Wallace Electric for an accurate diagnosis.
The main difference between 120 volt and 240 volt circuits is the amount of power they deliver. A 120 volt circuit is the standard supply for most outlets and smaller appliances. A 240 volt circuit delivers twice the voltage and serves the heaviest equipment in your home. The higher voltage allows large appliances to run efficiently without drawing excessive current. A 120 volt dedicated circuit suits appliances like refrigerators, microwaves, and dishwashers. A 240 volt dedicated circuit powers electric ranges, dryers, air conditioners, and EV chargers. The appliance itself determines which voltage the circuit must provide. Matching the circuit to the appliance is essential for safe operation.
The wiring and connections differ between the two types of circuits. A 240 volt circuit uses a double pole breaker that spans two slots in the panel. It also uses heavier conductors to carry the larger load safely. The outlet or connection at the appliance end differs in shape and rating from a 120 volt receptacle. These differences exist because the higher voltage and current demand more robust components. Our electricians install the correct breaker, wire, and connection for each circuit type. We never mix components, since the wrong combination creates a safety hazard. This precision keeps both circuit types operating safely in your home.
Choosing the right circuit is not a matter of preference but of the appliance’s requirements. An electric range simply will not run on a 120 volt circuit, since it needs 240 volts. Installing the wrong voltage circuit can damage the appliance or create a serious hazard. Our electricians read the appliance specifications and install the exact circuit it requires. We confirm the panel can support the new circuit before we begin. We size every component to the load and to the National Electrical Code. This ensures your appliance receives the correct power safely and reliably. For the right dedicated circuit for any appliance, trust the team at Wallace Electric.
Most dedicated circuit installations are completed in a few hours to a single day. A short run to an accessible location with an available panel slot goes quickly. A longer run through finished walls or across the house takes more time. The complexity of the path is one of the biggest factors in the timeline. If the panel needs a new breaker only, the work moves faster than a larger project. When a subpanel or service upgrade is required, the job naturally takes longer. The voltage and type of circuit can also affect the time involved. We give you a realistic timeline before we begin the work.
A straightforward installation breaks down into clear steps. We confirm the panel capacity, select the breaker and wire, and plan the route. We run the cable, secure it properly, and install the outlet or connection at the appliance. We then make the connections at the panel and test the circuit thoroughly. This process often takes just a few hours under good conditions. Running wire through finished walls adds time because of the careful routing required. Any drywall access we open adds a bit more to the schedule. Our electricians work efficiently without sacrificing the quality of the installation.
Clear communication keeps every installation on track from start to finish. We confirm the appliance, the location, and the circuit requirements before we begin. If we find a panel issue, we explain it and adjust the plan with your approval. Surprises are rare when an experienced electrician inspects the job first. Our technicians arrive on time and respect the schedule you have set aside. We clean up thoroughly so your home looks untouched when we leave. For emergencies, our electricians are available around the clock to help. Contact Wallace Electric for a clear timeline on your dedicated circuit installation.
