Seth did a great job setting my new pendant Lights. Very professional and reasonably priced.
Thank you Seth for your professionalism and explaining the work to be done in detail. Definitely recommend their small business for all electrical needs.
We hired this electrician for our breaker panel replacement in Dallas after buying an older home. The existing panel wasn’t up to code and couldn’t support the modern appliances that got installed by the previous owner. They installed a new electrical service panel, whole home surge protection & hosted a city inspection. He explained everything very clearly. If you’re in need of a home electrical panel upgrade, I highly recommend them. The work was clean, efficient and the whole process was stress-free. Great experience from start to finish thanks guys!
Wallace Electric replaced some lighting fixtures as well as hung new ones for me at a reasonable price. They were able to come out the day after our estimate and even being behind schedule, were still able to finish the job. Everything looks exactly as I hoped. Highly recommend this family business.
These guys are awesome - I was painting for a customer and removed the can lights to remove popcorn texture, however they required some adjustment because of the new ceiling height. Wallace was hired by the customer to do other light renovations and so I asked them if they could add on a small scope. I know this was a big ask because it's always difficult to change your scope of work especially late at night as they were ( the customer was moving in the next day and working hard to add extra touches). But their service was awesome and obviously very skilled because the modification was quick and professional and the customer loved the seamless service. I also found the prices very affordable and would continue to do business with them.
Seth did an awesome job installing two ceiling fans. He did a great job of answering other questions I asked him. He was very friendly and respectful. He wired a Blink doorbell for free. Other companies where charging me $50 to connect two wires. I definitely would recommend using them and I will use them again if I need additional service.
I cannot say enough how great Wallace electric is, they came very fast at 10pm at night, we had an emergency and lost power in all outlets and lights. They had everything up and running in no time. Great attitudes, very smart, highly knowledgeable, nice guys. I will be using them in the future 110%, this is the type of company that is a gem and I very highly recommend them. They let u know all pricing up front, no hidden fees, answered all my questions, gave quotes for future projects. If you are needing an electrician in down, then call Wallace electric, I know I will.
I needed an outlet installed in my garage for my fridge and they installed it for me. Very fast and professional.
I had a fan transferred from master bedroom to game room and a new fan placed in the master bedroom. He was in and out like a breeze. Answered all questions and explained everything clearly. The best part is they are a local family owned business in my area.
Seth replaced 5 outlets, a few breaker switches, and fixed some broken switches and added grounding to them. He was very professional, explained what he was doing, and did everything up to code. We also got a promotional discount and a 2-year warranty. Overall a very pleasant experience and I'll be using the company if anything should happen in the future.
They rewired my house, and the customer service was exceptional and they accommodated all my needs, and answered all my questions. And did great work.
trustworthy! great work! They replaced my electrical panel and switches! they were very very professional would recommend!
Seth did a great job fixing my wiring in our breaker box and upgrading our ceiling fan. Fast worker and super friendly!
I was having some built in shelves installed that required an outlet. Caleb came recommended from my installer. Caleb set up an appointment and came out that next week. Caleb and his partner came on time and got right to work. They were absolutely great to work with. They were professional and treated my home with respect. The outlet was installed to the exact specifications that was needed by the installer. After they were done they made sure everything was I working order and then cleaned up. I was highly impressed. I will definitely be using his services again and will recommend him to my friends and family.

Pool Wiring Service
A swimming pool is a truly wonderful feature for almost any home, but it brings water and electricity together in a way that demands genuinely expert, careful wiring. Pool equipment like the pumps, heaters, and lights all need steady power, and that power must always be delivered very safely around the water. Wallace Electric proudly provides professional pool wiring for homes of all kinds throughout Burleson and the surrounding communities we serve. Pool wiring involves dedicated circuits, full GFCI protection, careful bonding, and secure equipment connections, all installed to strict code requirements. The combination of water and electricity around a pool creates one of the most serious shock hazards to be found anywhere in any home. Our licensed electricians install all the pool wiring that meets every single code requirement and keeps your whole family completely safe. They carefully wire the pump, the heater, and the lights with exactly the correct dedicated circuits and protection. They also install all the GFCI protection and the bonding that genuine pool safety completely depends on. Every part of the installation always closely follows the National Electrical Code, which has detailed, specific rules for pools. Proper pool wiring lets you and your whole family swim safely with complete peace of mind all season long.
Pool wiring has a whole number of very specific requirements that exist entirely for your safety around the water. The pool pump always needs its very own dedicated circuit, carefully sized for its specific power requirements. The pump circuit must always be GFCI protected in order to guard against the very serious shock hazard it poses. Pool lights, and especially the underwater lights, have very strict requirements for safe low voltage operation. A pool heater, if one is present, will need its own properly sized dedicated circuit and secure connections. Careful bonding is required to connect all of the metal around the pool together and eliminate any voltage differences. The code clearly specifies the exact wiring methods and materials suitable for the wet pool environment. Proper disconnects must also be installed for all of the pool equipment at the correct locations. Each single one of these requirements helps protect swimmers and anyone near the pool from serious electrical hazards. Our experienced electricians know and always carefully follow every single one of these code requirements precisely.
Proper bonding is genuinely one of the single most critical and complex parts of any pool wiring job. Proper bonding work connects all of the metal components both in and around the pool together electrically. This includes the pool structure itself, all the metal fittings, the pump, the ladder, and any other nearby metal objects. The entire purpose of this bonding is to eliminate any voltage difference at all between these various metal parts. Without proper bonding in place, a swimmer who touches two different metal parts could complete a circuit and be shocked. The code itself has very extensive and detailed bonding requirements written specifically for swimming pools. This is genuinely one of the single most important details that an unqualified or careless installer might easily get wrong. Our electricians always install the complete equipotential bonding grid that the code requires around a pool. We then carefully bond every single required component together in order to eliminate the shock hazard completely. This careful and very thorough bonding work is exactly what makes a pool safe to swim in.
Good GFCI protection is absolutely essential for every single electrical circuit serving a swimming pool. A pool surrounds swimmers with water while nearby electricity powers the pump, the heater, and all the lights. This particular combination creates one of the single highest shock risks to be found in any residential setting. A GFCI device senses even the tiniest current leaks and cuts the power in just a fraction of a single second. This incredibly rapid response can help prevent a serious or even fatal electric shock in or near the pool. The code clearly requires proper GFCI protection for the pool pump, the lights, and any nearby outlets. We then install proper GFCI protection on every single circuit that the code actually requires it for. We then thoroughly test all the protection to confirm it functions exactly as it was designed to. This kind of GFCI protection is one of the most important safeguards that genuinely makes a pool safe to use. We never once compromise on the GFCI protection that keeps every swimmer safe.
Pool lighting requires very special attention because the lights themselves are located right in or near the water. Underwater pool lights in particular must meet some very strict requirements for safe operation in the water. Many modern pool lights will now operate at a low voltage to provide an added margin of safety. All of the wiring for the pool lights must always be installed exactly to code in the wet environment. Any junction box for the pool lights must be located at the proper required height above the water. The light fixtures themselves must always be properly listed and rated specifically for safe underwater use. Improperly installed pool lighting is a genuinely serious shock hazard for everyone who is swimming. Our electricians always install all of the pool lighting to the exact code requirements for full safety. We always use only the correct fixtures, wiring, and secure connections for all pool lighting. This careful and code compliant work lets you enjoy beautiful, safe pool lighting long after dark.
Any pool installation almost always requires first confirming that your electrical system can handle the added load. Most pool equipment draws a significant amount of power, especially the pump and any electric pool heater. Your electrical panel must have both the spare capacity and the open breaker slots for the new pool circuits. We always perform a careful load calculation to confirm your system can support all the pool equipment. If your panel happens to lack the needed capacity, we will discuss a subpanel or a service upgrade with you honestly. A dedicated pool equipment subpanel is often the single cleanest way to safely power all of the equipment right at the pool. We would never overload your electrical system, since doing that would create a real safety hazard near water. We then carefully plan out the entire wiring route and all the equipment connections precisely and to code. We carefully handle every single part of this entire process to give your pool safe, reliable power. This complete and careful approach ensures your pool is wired correctly all the way from the panel to the equipment.

Commonly Asked Pool Wiring Questions
Pool wiring raises several practical questions about circuits, GFCI protection, bonding, and safety. The answers below address the topics homeowners across Burleson ask us about most often.
The cost to wire a pool depends on several factors unique to your installation. The pool equipment you have determines the circuits and wiring needed. A pump, heater, and lights each require their own wiring and protection. The distance from your panel to the pool equipment affects the wiring run. Running wiring underground in conduit adds to the labor involved. The bonding work required around the pool is part of the cost. If your panel needs a subpanel or upgrade, that affects the total. Because every pool differs, Wallace Electric provides a clear written quote before any work begins.
Several elements make up the total cost of pool wiring. The dedicated circuits, GFCI protection, and disconnects are part of the materials. The bonding grid and connections are an important part of the work. The labor reflects the skill and time required for code compliant work. Running wiring underground to the equipment adds to the scope. Wiring the pool lights to code adds to the work. We assess all of these factors before quoting so there are no surprises. Financing options are available to make the project easier on your budget.
The most accurate way to learn your cost is to have a licensed electrician evaluate your project. We review your pool equipment and the installation layout. We assess your panel capacity and the wiring run involved. From there, we build a transparent estimate that lists each part of the work clearly. You will know exactly what you are paying for before we begin. We never add hidden charges once the job is underway. This honest approach has earned the trust of homeowners throughout Burleson. Call Wallace Electric today for an accurate pool wiring quote.
Pool equipment needs several dedicated circuits depending on what you have. The pool pump needs a dedicated circuit sized for its power requirements. A pool heater, if you have one, needs its own properly sized circuit. Pool lights need wiring that meets the code for the wet environment. Any outlets near the pool need their own protected circuits. Each piece of equipment needs the right circuit for its demand. The circuits must be GFCI protected as the code requires. We size and install each circuit for your specific pool equipment.
The circuit requirements depend on your specific equipment. A larger pump draws more power and needs a larger circuit. An electric heater is a significant load needing its own circuit. Pool lights, especially low voltage ones, need specific wiring. The manufacturer specifications tell us what each piece requires. We read those specifications to size the circuits correctly. We confirm your panel can support all the pool circuits. This planning ensures the equipment gets the power it needs.
Our electricians install the right circuits for your pool equipment. We review your equipment and its power requirements. We size each circuit, breaker, and conductor accordingly. We install GFCI protection on the circuits the code requires. We confirm your panel can support the new circuits. We install everything to the National Electrical Code. We test each circuit to confirm safe, reliable operation. For the right pool equipment circuits, trust the team at Wallace Electric.
Yes, a pool absolutely requires GFCI protection by code. The combination of water and electricity creates a serious shock hazard. A GFCI senses tiny current leaks and cuts power in a fraction of a second. This rapid response can prevent a serious or even fatal shock. The code requires GFCI protection for pool pumps, lights, and nearby outlets. This is one of the most important safety features of the installation. Skipping or bypassing the GFCI would create a deadly hazard. Proper GFCI protection is essential for any swimming pool.
The GFCI protection works to keep swimmers safe. A pool surrounds people with water near electrical equipment. If a fault occurs, current could flow through the water. The GFCI detects this leakage and cuts power instantly. This happens far faster than a standard breaker would react. The speed is what makes the difference for safety. This is why the code mandates GFCI protection for pools. It is the key safeguard against the shock hazard.
Our electricians install GFCI protection correctly for your pool. We install the proper GFCI protection on every required circuit. We wire it correctly so it provides full protection. We test the protection to confirm it works as designed. We never compromise on this critical safety feature. We follow the code requirements precisely for your protection. This ensures it is safe to enjoy your pool. For proper pool GFCI protection, contact Wallace Electric.
Pool bonding connects all the metal in and around the pool together. This includes the pool structure, fittings, pump, ladder, and nearby metal. The purpose is to eliminate any voltage difference between these parts. With everything bonded, there is no voltage difference to cause a shock. Without bonding, a swimmer touching two metal parts could be shocked. The code requires an equipotential bonding grid around the pool. This bonding is one of the most critical safety features of pool wiring. It is required precisely because it prevents a dangerous shock hazard.
Bonding works by creating an equipotential plane around the pool. When all metal is bonded, it sits at the same electrical potential. This means no current would flow between the metal parts. A swimmer touching bonded metal feels no shock. Without bonding, stray voltage could create a dangerous difference. The bonding grid eliminates that risk around the entire pool. This protects everyone in and around the water. It is an essential part of a safe pool installation.
Our electricians install the bonding grid correctly for your pool. We connect all the required metal components together. We follow the detailed code requirements for pool bonding. We install the equipotential grid around the pool as required. We confirm the bonding is complete and correct. This eliminates the voltage difference hazard for swimmers. This careful work is part of what makes a pool safe. For proper pool bonding, trust the team at Wallace Electric.
Yes, underwater pool lights are safe when installed correctly to code. Pool lights have strict requirements precisely because they are in the water. Many pool lights operate at low voltage for an added margin of safety. The fixtures must be listed and rated for underwater use. The wiring and junction boxes must meet specific code requirements. A junction box must be located at the proper height above the water. GFCI protection guards the lighting circuit against shock. Installed correctly, underwater pool lights are both safe and beautiful.
The safety of pool lights depends on proper installation. The fixtures must be the correct type rated for underwater use. The low voltage option reduces the shock risk further. The junction box height keeps connections safely above water. The wiring methods must suit the wet environment. The GFCI protection adds a critical layer of safety. Each of these details matters for safe pool lighting. This is why a licensed electrician should install them.
Our electricians install pool lighting safely and to code. We use fixtures listed and rated for underwater use. We install the wiring and junction boxes to code requirements. We position the junction box at the proper height. We install GFCI protection for the lighting circuit. We test everything to confirm safe operation. This gives you beautiful pool lighting that is completely safe. For safe pool lighting, contact the team at Wallace Electric.
Whether your panel can support a pool depends on its capacity. Pool equipment adds a significant load with the pump, heater, and lights. Your panel needs open slots and enough spare capacity. Some homes have the capacity for a pool without changes. Others need a subpanel or upgrade to support the added load. The only way to know is a load calculation. This adds the pool equipment demand to your existing load. The result tells us whether your panel can handle it.
A subpanel is often the cleanest solution for a pool. A pool equipment subpanel groups the circuits at the pool. It runs one feeder from the main panel to the pool area. The pool circuits and disconnects are then located conveniently. This is efficient for powering multiple pieces of equipment. For many pools, a subpanel is the practical choice. It keeps the pool wiring organized and accessible. We help you decide if a subpanel fits your installation.
Our electricians determine the right approach for your pool. We perform a load calculation to assess your capacity. We evaluate your pool equipment and its power needs. We recommend a subpanel or upgrade if one is needed. We install the subpanel and feeder correctly and to code. We never overload your system with pool equipment. We treat your pool and your capacity as one project. To find out what your pool needs, contact Wallace Electric.
Wiring a pool yourself is strongly discouraged and often not legal. Pool wiring combines water and electricity, creating a serious shock hazard. The code has detailed, complex requirements specifically for pools. Bonding, GFCI protection, and underwater lighting must be done exactly right. A mistake in pool wiring can create a deadly shock hazard. Most jurisdictions require a licensed electrician for this work. A permit and inspection are also required for safety. For these reasons, pool wiring is a job for a professional.
The risks of wiring a pool yourself are severe. An improper bonding grid leaves a shock hazard in the water. A missing or wrong GFCI removes the key safety protection. Incorrect underwater lighting wiring endangers swimmers directly. An overloaded circuit or panel creates a fire risk. Unpermitted work can fail inspection and complicate a sale. The consequences of a mistake are simply too serious. This is not a safe area for do it yourself work.
Our licensed electricians handle pool wiring safely and correctly. We know the detailed code requirements for pools. We install the bonding, GFCI protection, and lighting properly. We size and install all the circuits correctly. We pull the permits and handle the inspections. We make sure the entire installation is safe for swimmers. This protects your family and your investment. For safe, professional pool wiring, contact the team at Wallace Electric.
Yes, wiring a pool requires a permit in Texas jurisdictions. Cities around Burleson, including those in Tarrant and Johnson counties, enforce this requirement. A permit triggers an inspection that confirms the work meets the National Electrical Code. This process protects you, your family, and any future owners of the property. The circuits, GFCI protection, bonding, and lighting are all inspected. Skipping the permit can lead to fines and a requirement to redo the work. It can also create problems when you sell or insure your home. Wallace Electric handles the permitting process so you never have to navigate it alone.
The permit and inspection are especially important for pools. The shock hazard makes proper, inspected work essential for safety. The inspection confirms the bonding, GFCI, and lighting are correct. A licensed electrician knows the requirements for your installation. We determine the permit requirements before we begin the work. We pull the permit and schedule the inspection on your behalf. This saves you time and ensures the work is documented. That documentation is valuable when you sell or insure your home.
Attempting pool wiring without a permit creates real risks. Unpermitted work can complicate a home sale or an insurance claim. If the work fails a later inspection, you may have to redo it. Pool wiring done incorrectly is also dangerous, which is why inspection matters. The cost of a permit is minor compared to these consequences. Wallace Electric never cuts this corner, because your safety comes first. We manage the entire permitting and inspection process as part of our service. For permitted pool wiring done right, trust the licensed team at Wallace Electric.
