Seth did a great job setting my new pendant Lights. Very professional and reasonably priced.
Thank you Seth for your professionalism and explaining the work to be done in detail. Definitely recommend their small business for all electrical needs.
We hired this electrician for our breaker panel replacement in Dallas after buying an older home. The existing panel wasn’t up to code and couldn’t support the modern appliances that got installed by the previous owner. They installed a new electrical service panel, whole home surge protection & hosted a city inspection. He explained everything very clearly. If you’re in need of a home electrical panel upgrade, I highly recommend them. The work was clean, efficient and the whole process was stress-free. Great experience from start to finish thanks guys!
Wallace Electric replaced some lighting fixtures as well as hung new ones for me at a reasonable price. They were able to come out the day after our estimate and even being behind schedule, were still able to finish the job. Everything looks exactly as I hoped. Highly recommend this family business.
These guys are awesome - I was painting for a customer and removed the can lights to remove popcorn texture, however they required some adjustment because of the new ceiling height. Wallace was hired by the customer to do other light renovations and so I asked them if they could add on a small scope. I know this was a big ask because it's always difficult to change your scope of work especially late at night as they were ( the customer was moving in the next day and working hard to add extra touches). But their service was awesome and obviously very skilled because the modification was quick and professional and the customer loved the seamless service. I also found the prices very affordable and would continue to do business with them.
Seth did an awesome job installing two ceiling fans. He did a great job of answering other questions I asked him. He was very friendly and respectful. He wired a Blink doorbell for free. Other companies where charging me $50 to connect two wires. I definitely would recommend using them and I will use them again if I need additional service.
I cannot say enough how great Wallace electric is, they came very fast at 10pm at night, we had an emergency and lost power in all outlets and lights. They had everything up and running in no time. Great attitudes, very smart, highly knowledgeable, nice guys. I will be using them in the future 110%, this is the type of company that is a gem and I very highly recommend them. They let u know all pricing up front, no hidden fees, answered all my questions, gave quotes for future projects. If you are needing an electrician in down, then call Wallace electric, I know I will.
I needed an outlet installed in my garage for my fridge and they installed it for me. Very fast and professional.
I had a fan transferred from master bedroom to game room and a new fan placed in the master bedroom. He was in and out like a breeze. Answered all questions and explained everything clearly. The best part is they are a local family owned business in my area.
Seth replaced 5 outlets, a few breaker switches, and fixed some broken switches and added grounding to them. He was very professional, explained what he was doing, and did everything up to code. We also got a promotional discount and a 2-year warranty. Overall a very pleasant experience and I'll be using the company if anything should happen in the future.
They rewired my house, and the customer service was exceptional and they accommodated all my needs, and answered all my questions. And did great work.
trustworthy! great work! They replaced my electrical panel and switches! they were very very professional would recommend!
Seth did a great job fixing my wiring in our breaker box and upgrading our ceiling fan. Fast worker and super friendly!
I was having some built in shelves installed that required an outlet. Caleb came recommended from my installer. Caleb set up an appointment and came out that next week. Caleb and his partner came on time and got right to work. They were absolutely great to work with. They were professional and treated my home with respect. The outlet was installed to the exact specifications that was needed by the installer. After they were done they made sure everything was I working order and then cleaned up. I was highly impressed. I will definitely be using his services again and will recommend him to my friends and family.

Electrical Service Repair
Electrical repair covers the wide and varied range of problems that can develop in almost any home’s electrical system over time. From a dead outlet to a flickering light to an entire circuit that has suddenly lost power, these problems disrupt daily life and can quietly signal real danger underneath. Wallace Electric handles electrical repairs of every kind, large and small, for homes and businesses throughout Burleson and the surrounding communities we serve. Residential electrical systems are genuinely complex, and a single visible symptom can have many different possible causes hidden away behind the walls. The foundation of every good and lasting repair is an accurate diagnosis that finds the true source of the underlying problem. Our licensed electricians always test methodically rather than guessing, since the wrong fix only wastes your time and money. They carefully trace each symptom back to its true root cause before ever recommending any repair work. That careful and patient approach ensures the real problem gets fully solved and does not simply return again later. Many electrical problems also pose a genuine safety risk, so a prompt and proper repair directly protects your family. A properly diagnosed and completed repair restores both the everyday function and the underlying safety of your electrical system.
Electrical problems announce themselves through a variety of common symptoms. A completely dead outlet or a switch that has simply stopped working is easily one of the most frequent complaints that we hear. Flickering or dimming lights can point to a loose connection, an overloaded circuit, or a slowly failing fixture. Frequent breaker trips usually signal a circuit that is overloaded, shorted, or faulted somewhere along its length. A burning smell or a warm outlet is a serious warning sign that always demands your prompt and immediate attention. Buzzing or humming sounds coming from outlets, switches, or fixtures strongly suggest loose or arcing connections. A mild shock or a faint tingle from an appliance or fixture usually indicates an underlying grounding problem. Outlets that no longer hold a plug securely have simply worn out and need prompt replacement. Each one of these symptoms tells our experienced electricians something useful about where the real problem lies. Recognizing these common symptoms early helps you call for a repair before a small issue grows into a genuine safety hazard.
Outlets and switches are among the most common items we repair in a home. An outlet that has stopped working entirely may have a loose connection, a tripped GFCI somewhere upstream, or a worn internal contact. A wall switch that flickers or feels warm to the touch often has a loose wire behind it or a worn internal mechanism. Outlets that feel loose when you insert a plug have worn out internally and no longer grip the prongs the way they should. A worn outlet creates a poor electrical connection that generates heat and can eventually lead to dangerous arcing. Our electricians quickly repair or replace these worn devices in order to restore safe and reliable operation throughout the entire home. We also upgrade ordinary outlets to GFCI protection in every location where the code now requires it near water. We can also add tamper resistant outlets wherever they meaningfully improve safety for homes with young children present. These individual repairs may seem small, yet they directly affect the everyday safety of your home. We treat every single outlet and switch repair with the very same care and attention as we would a much larger job.
Wiring problems are often the hidden cause behind many electrical symptoms. A loose connection in a junction box, an outlet, or a light fixture generates heat and often causes frustrating intermittent power. Damaged wiring from age, rodents, or careless past work creates the kind of faults that repeatedly trip breakers. Improper splices made outside of approved junction boxes are both a clear code violation and a real fire risk. Older homes around the area sometimes have outdated wiring that simply no longer meets today’s current safety standards. Aluminum wiring in particular requires special listed connectors and careful attention in order to stay safe. Our electricians trace wiring faults all the way to their source and then repair them properly to code. We open walls only where it is truly necessary and always keep the access points clean and minimal. We carefully test every completed repair to confirm that the fault is fully resolved and that the connection is once again solid. Fixing a wiring problem correctly removes a hidden danger that could otherwise smolder unnoticed behind a wall for years.
Many electrical repairs are also opportunities to improve the overall safety of your home. While diagnosing one specific problem, our electricians often notice other related issues that genuinely deserve attention. A single repair visit can reveal missing GFCI protection, an overloaded circuit, or an aging and unsafe panel. We always point out these concerns honestly and clearly so that you can decide for yourself how you want to address them. We never pressure you into any work that you do not truly need, but we also will never hide a real and present hazard from you. Adding GFCI or AFCI protection during a repair visit improves safety in the areas where the code now clearly requires it. Correcting an improper splice or a double tapped breaker resolves a code violation while our electricians are already on site. These small but meaningful improvements add up to a noticeably safer electrical system over time. We genuinely see every repair as a valuable chance to leave your home safer than we originally found it. This honest, thorough, and proactive approach is central to how we serve every one of our customers.
Acting quickly on electrical problems protects both your home and your family. Many electrical faults that seem perfectly minor at first can quietly develop into serious hazards over time. A simple loose connection that causes a flickering light can eventually overheat badly and even start a fire. A circuit that only trips occasionally may quietly be warning you of a fault that is steadily getting worse. Electrical problems very rarely fix themselves, and they often worsen the longer they are left ignored. A prompt and proper repair stops a small issue before it ever grows into an expensive and stressful emergency. It also fully removes the underlying safety risk that so many electrical faults quietly carry with them. Our electricians respond quickly and work to diagnose the problem accurately the very first time. For genuinely urgent problems, our emergency electricians remain available around the clock to help you fast. Addressing electrical issues early is almost always both safer and far cheaper than waiting for them to worsen.
Choosing Wallace Electric for your electrical repair means choosing accuracy, honesty, and genuine care for your safety. Flexible financing options help you comfortably handle larger repairs without straining your household budget all at once. A five year parts and labor warranty stands firmly behind the lasting quality of all of our work. When you need an electrical repair done right, our experienced team is always ready to assist.
The Importance of a Licensed Electrician for Electrical Service Repair in Burleson, TX
Electrical repair carries real risks, so it deserves the expertise of a licensed professional. A licensed electrician brings the training to diagnose a problem accurately rather than guessing. In Texas, electrical licensing is regulated by the state to protect homeowners from unqualified work. A licensed professional understands how to work safely around live circuits and energized components. They know the National Electrical Code and the local amendments enforced around Burleson. They can tell the difference between a simple fix and a symptom of a deeper problem. They make every repair to code so the fix is both safe and lasting. A licensed electrician also carries insurance that protects you if something goes wrong. An improper repair can leave a hazard in place while appearing to solve the symptom. A wrong fix can also cause a fire, a shock, or damage to your appliances. Unlicensed repair work may save money today and create a serious danger tomorrow. Wallace Electric sends only licensed, background checked technicians to every repair, so the work is always done right.

Commonly Asked Electrical Service Repair Questions
Electrical repair raises several practical questions about cost, common problems, and safety. The answers below address the topics homeowners across Burleson ask us about most often.
The cost of an electrical repair depends on the nature and complexity of the problem. A simple fix, like replacing a worn outlet, costs far less than a complex wiring repair. The diagnosis is part of the cost, since finding the true cause takes skill and time. The accessibility of the problem affects the price, especially when wiring is hidden in walls. Replacing a part adds the cost of the device, which varies by type and quality. A repair that reveals a larger underlying issue may grow in scope and cost. Permit fees may apply to certain repairs depending on the local jurisdiction. Because every repair differs, Wallace Electric provides a clear written quote before any work begins.
The diagnosis is essential to both the repair and its cost. An accurate diagnosis prevents wasted money on parts that were never the problem. Our electricians test methodically to trace the fault to its true source. This upfront work ensures the repair actually solves the problem the first time. Skipping diagnosis to save money often leads to repeat visits and higher overall cost. We believe a fair price reflects an accurate diagnosis and a lasting repair. The peace of mind of a job done right is part of the value we provide. Financing options are available for larger repairs that go beyond a simple fix.
The most reliable way to learn your cost is to have a licensed electrician evaluate the problem. We diagnose the issue, explain what the repair involves, and provide a transparent estimate. The estimate lists each part of the work clearly so you understand the cost. You will know exactly what you are paying for before we begin. We never add hidden charges once the job is underway. This honest approach has earned the trust of homeowners throughout Burleson. We treat every repair, large or small, with the same care and transparency. Call Wallace Electric today for an accurate electrical repair quote.
Flickering lights are a common complaint with several possible causes. A loose bulb is the simplest cause and the first thing to check. A loose connection in the fixture, the switch, or the wiring is a more serious cause. That loose connection makes intermittent contact, which causes the light to flicker. An overloaded circuit can also cause lights to dim or flicker when appliances start. A failing light fixture or switch may flicker as its internal parts wear out. Old or incompatible dimmer switches sometimes cause flickering with certain bulbs. Identifying the true cause requires looking beyond the bulb itself.
Some flickering points to problems that deserve prompt attention. Flickering throughout the whole home can signal a loose connection at the panel or service. A loose neutral connection is a particularly serious cause that needs professional repair. Lights that dim noticeably when a large appliance starts may indicate an overloaded or undersized circuit. Flickering accompanied by a burning smell or warm switch is an urgent warning sign. These symptoms suggest a fault that generates heat and could become dangerous. Our electricians trace flickering to its source rather than treating only the symptom. This careful approach finds the real problem and resolves it safely.
When flickering persists after you check the bulb, a professional evaluation is wise. Our electricians inspect the fixture, the switch, the circuit, and the panel as needed. We check for loose connections, overloaded circuits, and failing components. We measure voltage and trace the wiring to pinpoint the cause. Once we find the source, we repair it to restore steady, reliable lighting. We verify the fix before we consider the job complete. Persistent flickering is worth addressing, since it can point to a hidden hazard. If your lights keep flickering, contact Wallace Electric for a proper diagnosis.
An outlet that has stopped working can have several different causes. The most common is a tripped GFCI outlet somewhere on the same circuit. GFCI outlets protect multiple outlets downstream, so one tripped GFCI can kill several. Checking and resetting the GFCI is often the first step toward a solution. A tripped breaker is another common cause that cuts power to the outlet. A loose connection at the outlet or upstream can also interrupt power. The outlet itself may have failed internally after years of use. Each of these causes calls for a different response.
Some outlet problems are simple, while others point to a real concern. A worn outlet that no longer grips a plug has reached the end of its life. A loose wire connection at the outlet generates heat and can be dangerous. A burning smell or scorch marks at an outlet are urgent warning signs. An outlet that feels warm to the touch indicates a problem inside. These symptoms suggest a fault that needs professional attention rather than a simple reset. Repeatedly resetting a breaker for a dead outlet without finding the cause is risky. The safe approach is to diagnose why the outlet failed in the first place.
Our electricians diagnose a dead outlet by tracing the circuit and testing the connections. We check for tripped GFCIs and breakers as the first and simplest step. We inspect the outlet and the wiring for loose connections and heat damage. We test the circuit to find where the power is being interrupted. Once we find the cause, we repair or replace the affected components. We verify that the outlet works safely before we finish. This methodical approach resolves the problem and removes any hidden hazard. If an outlet in your home is not working, contact Wallace Electric.
Some very minor electrical tasks are within reach of a careful homeowner. Replacing a light bulb or resetting a tripped breaker is generally safe to do. Beyond those basics, however, most electrical repairs are best left to a professional. The work involves live circuits that can cause serious shock or injury. Diagnosing a problem correctly requires knowledge and tools most homeowners lack. A wrong diagnosis can leave a real hazard in place while appearing to fix the symptom. An improper repair can cause a fire, a shock, or damage to your appliances. The risks of these repairs usually outweigh the savings of doing them yourself.
Certain repairs are particularly dangerous to attempt without training. Anything involving the panel, the service, or the main wiring carries lethal voltage. Repairing or replacing wiring requires understanding connections, grounding, and code requirements. Working on a circuit that is not properly de energized risks a serious shock. Even seemingly simple tasks can hide dangers that only a trained eye recognizes. A licensed electrician knows how to work safely and to code. They also carry insurance that protects you if something goes wrong. These protections are not available when you do the work yourself.
For most repairs, hiring a licensed electrician is the safe and sensible choice. Wallace Electric handles repairs of every kind safely and to code. Our background checked technicians diagnose the problem accurately the first time. We make the repair correctly and verify it before we finish. You gain a safe repair backed by a five year parts and labor warranty. The cost of a professional repair is small compared to the risk of doing it wrong. We are happy to handle the repairs that are not safe for a homeowner. For safe, reliable electrical repair, contact the team at Wallace Electric.
Several signs can warn you of an electrical problem in your home. Frequent breaker trips suggest a circuit that is overloaded, shorted, or faulted. Flickering or dimming lights can point to loose connections or overloaded circuits. A burning smell from an outlet, switch, or panel is a serious warning sign. Outlets or switches that feel warm to the touch indicate a problem inside. Buzzing or crackling sounds from outlets or fixtures suggest arcing connections. A mild shock or tingle from an appliance points to a grounding problem. Any of these signs deserves attention before it becomes a hazard.
Other signs are more subtle but still important to notice. Outlets that no longer grip a plug securely have worn out over time. Discoloration or scorch marks around an outlet or switch reveal overheating. Lights that dim when a large appliance starts may indicate an overloaded circuit. A persistent burning smell with no obvious source warrants immediate investigation. Two prong outlets throughout the home suggest a lack of grounding. These signs often develop slowly and are easy to overlook. Paying attention to them helps you catch a problem early.
When you notice any of these signs, a professional evaluation is the safe response. Our electricians diagnose the problem and trace it to its true source. We explain what we find and recommend the right repair. We never overstate a problem or push unnecessary work. We address genuine hazards promptly to keep your home safe. We verify every repair before we consider the job complete. Recognizing these signs and acting on them protects your home and family. If you notice any signs of an electrical problem, contact Wallace Electric.
How quickly you should act depends on the nature of the electrical problem. Some signs demand immediate attention because they indicate an active hazard. A burning smell, smoke, or sparks call for shutting off power and calling for help fast. A warm outlet or panel, or a mild shock from an appliance, also warrants prompt action. These symptoms suggest a fault that could lead to a fire or injury. Waiting on these problems allows the danger to grow worse. For urgent issues, our emergency electricians are available around the clock. Treating these signs as emergencies protects your home and family.
Other problems are less urgent but still should not be ignored. A flickering light or an occasionally tripping breaker is worth addressing soon. These symptoms often point to a developing fault that will worsen over time. A small problem today can become an expensive emergency if left alone. Electrical issues rarely resolve themselves and usually grow more serious. Scheduling a repair promptly prevents the issue from escalating. It also restores the function and safety you depend on. Acting early is almost always cheaper than waiting.
The safest approach is to treat electrical problems as a priority rather than a nuisance. Even a seemingly minor issue can hide a real hazard behind the walls. Our electricians can quickly diagnose the urgency of your specific problem. We tell you honestly whether it is an emergency or can be scheduled normally. We respond quickly to urgent situations and promptly to routine repairs. This responsiveness gives you peace of mind about your home’s safety. We treat your safety as the priority on every call. To address an electrical problem quickly, contact Wallace Electric.
A breaker that keeps tripping is responding to a real problem on the circuit. The most common cause is an overloaded circuit drawing more current than the breaker allows. When too many devices run at once, their combined demand exceeds the breaker rating. A short circuit, where a hot wire contacts a neutral or ground, trips the breaker instantly. A ground fault sends current down an unintended path and trips the breaker just as fast. A loose connection on the circuit can cause tripping that comes and goes. The breaker itself may have weakened and trip below its rated value. Identifying the true cause requires testing rather than guessing.
The pattern of the tripping offers clues about the cause. A breaker that trips when a specific appliance runs points to an overload or appliance fault. A breaker that trips immediately on reset points to a short or ground fault. A breaker that trips at random may have a loose connection or be failing. A breaker that trips only under heavy load suggests an overloaded circuit. These patterns help our electricians narrow down the source. Reading them correctly is the first step toward a lasting fix. Resetting the breaker without finding the cause only delays the solution.
Our electricians diagnose a tripping breaker by testing the circuit and the breaker. We measure the current draw and compare it to the breaker rating. We inspect the connections for heat, looseness, and corrosion. We isolate the circuit to determine whether the fault is in the wiring, a device, or the breaker. Once we find the cause, we repair it so the tripping stops. We verify the fix with live readings before we finish. This thorough approach saves you from repeated trips and frustration. If your breaker keeps tripping, contact Wallace Electric for an accurate diagnosis.
An outlet or switch that feels warm is a warning sign that should not be ignored. A properly working outlet or switch should not feel warm to the touch. Warmth indicates that electricity is meeting resistance where it should not. The most common cause is a loose connection that generates heat as current passes. An overloaded circuit can also cause an outlet or switch to feel warm. A worn device that no longer makes solid contact adds to the heat. Whatever the cause, warmth signals a fault that can worsen into a fire. This is a problem that deserves prompt attention.
The right first step is to reduce the risk while you arrange a repair. Unplug whatever is connected to a warm outlet to reduce the load. Avoid using the warm outlet or switch until it is inspected. If the device is hot, smells like burning, or shows scorch marks, treat it as urgent. In that case, switching off the breaker for that circuit is a safe step. Do not ignore the warmth in the hope that it resolves on its own. The heat is a sign of an active fault that will likely worsen. Taking these steps reduces the risk until a professional arrives.
Our electricians diagnose a warm outlet or switch by inspecting the connections and the circuit. We check for loose wires, worn devices, and overloaded circuits. We measure the load and inspect for heat damage at the device. Once we find the cause, we repair or replace the affected components. We verify that the device returns to a safe operating temperature. A warm outlet or switch is a fixable problem when addressed promptly. Ignoring it risks a fire that proper repair would prevent. If an outlet or switch in your home feels warm, contact Wallace Electric.
