Seth did a great job setting my new pendant Lights. Very professional and reasonably priced.
Thank you Seth for your professionalism and explaining the work to be done in detail. Definitely recommend their small business for all electrical needs.
We hired this electrician for our breaker panel replacement in Dallas after buying an older home. The existing panel wasn’t up to code and couldn’t support the modern appliances that got installed by the previous owner. They installed a new electrical service panel, whole home surge protection & hosted a city inspection. He explained everything very clearly. If you’re in need of a home electrical panel upgrade, I highly recommend them. The work was clean, efficient and the whole process was stress-free. Great experience from start to finish thanks guys!
Wallace Electric replaced some lighting fixtures as well as hung new ones for me at a reasonable price. They were able to come out the day after our estimate and even being behind schedule, were still able to finish the job. Everything looks exactly as I hoped. Highly recommend this family business.
These guys are awesome - I was painting for a customer and removed the can lights to remove popcorn texture, however they required some adjustment because of the new ceiling height. Wallace was hired by the customer to do other light renovations and so I asked them if they could add on a small scope. I know this was a big ask because it's always difficult to change your scope of work especially late at night as they were ( the customer was moving in the next day and working hard to add extra touches). But their service was awesome and obviously very skilled because the modification was quick and professional and the customer loved the seamless service. I also found the prices very affordable and would continue to do business with them.
Seth did an awesome job installing two ceiling fans. He did a great job of answering other questions I asked him. He was very friendly and respectful. He wired a Blink doorbell for free. Other companies where charging me $50 to connect two wires. I definitely would recommend using them and I will use them again if I need additional service.
I cannot say enough how great Wallace electric is, they came very fast at 10pm at night, we had an emergency and lost power in all outlets and lights. They had everything up and running in no time. Great attitudes, very smart, highly knowledgeable, nice guys. I will be using them in the future 110%, this is the type of company that is a gem and I very highly recommend them. They let u know all pricing up front, no hidden fees, answered all my questions, gave quotes for future projects. If you are needing an electrician in down, then call Wallace electric, I know I will.
I needed an outlet installed in my garage for my fridge and they installed it for me. Very fast and professional.
I had a fan transferred from master bedroom to game room and a new fan placed in the master bedroom. He was in and out like a breeze. Answered all questions and explained everything clearly. The best part is they are a local family owned business in my area.
Seth replaced 5 outlets, a few breaker switches, and fixed some broken switches and added grounding to them. He was very professional, explained what he was doing, and did everything up to code. We also got a promotional discount and a 2-year warranty. Overall a very pleasant experience and I'll be using the company if anything should happen in the future.
They rewired my house, and the customer service was exceptional and they accommodated all my needs, and answered all my questions. And did great work.
trustworthy! great work! They replaced my electrical panel and switches! they were very very professional would recommend!
Seth did a great job fixing my wiring in our breaker box and upgrading our ceiling fan. Fast worker and super friendly!
I was having some built in shelves installed that required an outlet. Caleb came recommended from my installer. Caleb set up an appointment and came out that next week. Caleb and his partner came on time and got right to work. They were absolutely great to work with. They were professional and treated my home with respect. The outlet was installed to the exact specifications that was needed by the installer. After they were done they made sure everything was I working order and then cleaned up. I was highly impressed. I will definitely be using his services again and will recommend him to my friends and family.

Hot Tub Wiring Service
A hot tub is a truly wonderful addition to almost any home, yet it combines water and electricity in a way that demands careful, professional wiring. A hot tub draws significant power and sits right out in a wet outdoor environment, which makes proper electrical work absolutely essential for safety. Wallace Electric provides professional hot tub wiring for homes of every kind throughout Burleson and the surrounding communities we serve. A hot tub needs its own dedicated circuit, full GFCI protection, and a proper disconnect, all installed to strict code requirements. The very combination of water and electricity creates a serious shock hazard whenever the wiring is not done correctly. Our licensed electricians install hot tub wiring that meets every single code requirement and keeps your whole family completely safe. They carefully size both the circuit and the conductors to match your specific hot tub and its exact power demands. They install all of the required GFCI protection and place the disconnect at the proper safe distance from the tub. Every part of the installation closely follows the National Electrical Code, which has very specific rules for hot tubs. Proper hot tub wiring lets you finally relax and unwind in the water with complete peace of mind, knowing the electrical work is safe.
Hot tub wiring has a whole range of specific requirements that exist entirely for your safety and protection. A hot tub always requires its very own dedicated circuit, since it simply draws too much power to share with anything else. Most hot tubs require a full 240 volt dedicated circuit, much like a large household appliance such as an electric dryer does. The entire circuit must always be GFCI protected in order to guard against the serious shock hazard that water creates. A proper disconnect must be installed within clear sight of the hot tub but at a safe distance from it. This disconnect lets a person cut the power off quickly in an emergency or for the routine servicing of the tub. The conductors themselves must be sized correctly for the hot tub’s amperage and for the entire distance of the run. The wiring itself must be fully suitable for the wet, outdoor environment that typically surrounds a hot tub. Strict bonding requirements also apply here, connecting all the metal parts to prevent dangerous voltage differences. Our experienced electricians know and carefully follow every single one of these requirements precisely.
GFCI protection is genuinely one of the most important safety features in any hot tub installation. A hot tub places people directly in water while electricity powers the heater, the pump, and the controls. This particular combination creates one of the very highest shock risks to be found in nearly any home setting. A GFCI device senses even the tiniest current leaks and cuts the power in just a fraction of a single second. This incredibly rapid response can help prevent a serious or even fatal electric shock around the hot tub. The code requires GFCI protection for all hot tub circuits, without any exception at all. We always install the GFCI protection correctly so that it provides the exact safety that it was designed for. We then thoroughly test the protection to confirm it functions exactly as it should. This kind of GFCI protection is exactly what makes it truly safe to combine a hot tub with electricity at all. We never once compromise on the GFCI protection that keeps you safe while in the water.
The disconnect is yet another important safety feature that the code requires for all hot tubs. A disconnect is simply a sturdy switch that lets you cut all power to the hot tub quickly. It must be installed within clear sight of the hot tub for quick and easy access. It must also sit at a safe enough distance, so that no one can reach it from inside the water. The disconnect lets you shut off all power in a sudden emergency without having to run back to the panel. It also lets a service technician safely cut the power off completely before working on the tub. This important requirement exists to protect both the users and anyone who is servicing the hot tub. Our electricians always install the disconnect at exactly the correct location and at the proper safe distance. We always make sure that it meets all of the code requirements precisely. This one simple device adds a genuinely important extra layer of real safety to your hot tub setup.
Proper bonding is a critical but very often overlooked part of any hot tub wiring job. Proper bonding work carefully connects all of the metal parts around the hot tub together electrically. This includes the metal components of the tub itself, any nearby metal objects, and sometimes even the surrounding deck. The whole purpose of this is to eliminate any dangerous voltage differences between the metal parts. Without proper bonding in place, a person touching two different metal parts could complete a circuit and receive a shock. The code has very specific bonding requirements for hot tubs and the entire area around them. This is one of the important details that an unqualified or careless installer may miss entirely. Our electricians always install the bonding correctly in order to fully eliminate this hazard. We carefully follow all of the code requirements for bonding the hot tub and its entire surroundings. This careful attention to proper bonding is part of what makes our installations truly safe.
A hot tub installation almost always requires first confirming your electrical system can handle the added load. A hot tub draws a significant amount of power, often comparable to that of a large home appliance. Your existing electrical panel must have both the capacity and an open slot for the new circuit. We perform a careful load calculation to confirm your system can support the hot tub. If your panel turns out to lack the needed capacity, we discuss an upgrade or other options with you honestly. We would never once connect a hot tub to an electrical system that simply cannot safely support it. We also carefully plan out the entire wiring route from the main panel all the way to the hot tub location. For an outdoor hot tub, the wiring will very often run underground inside proper, weather rated conduit. We carefully handle every single part of this process to give your hot tub safe, reliable power. This complete and careful approach ensures your hot tub is wired correctly all the way from the panel to the tub itself.

The Importance of a Licensed Electrician for Hot Tub Wiring in Burleson, TX
A hot tub combines water and high power electricity, so it demands a licensed electrician. The shock hazard makes proper, code compliant wiring absolutely essential for safety. In Texas, electrical licensing is regulated by the state to protect homeowners from unqualified work. A licensed electrician installs the dedicated circuit and GFCI protection correctly. They place the disconnect at the proper location and distance from the tub. They handle the bonding that eliminates dangerous voltage differences. They size the conductors for the hot tub and the run distance. They pull the permits and schedule the inspections the work requires. A licensed electrician also carries insurance that protects you if something goes wrong. Improper hot tub wiring can create a serious or even fatal shock hazard. The combination of water and electricity leaves no room for unqualified work. Wallace Electric sends only licensed, background checked technicians to every hot tub installation, so the work is always done right.

Commonly Asked Hot Tub Wiring Questions
Hot tub wiring raises several practical questions about circuits, GFCI protection, and safety. The answers below address the topics homeowners across Burleson ask us about most often.
The cost to wire a hot tub depends on several factors unique to your installation. The hot tub’s power requirements determine the circuit and conductor size. The distance from your panel to the hot tub affects the wiring run. An outdoor hot tub may require underground conduit, which adds to the cost. The condition and capacity of your electrical panel play a role. If your panel needs an upgrade, that affects the total. The GFCI protection, disconnect, and bonding are all part of the work. Because every installation differs, Wallace Electric provides a clear written quote before any work begins.
Several elements make up the total cost of hot tub wiring. The dedicated circuit, GFCI protection, and disconnect are part of the materials. The labor reflects the skill and time required for code compliant work. Running wiring underground to an outdoor tub adds to the scope. The bonding work is part of the installation as well. If a panel upgrade is needed for capacity, that adds to the cost. We assess all of these factors before quoting so there are no surprises. Financing options are available to make the project easier on your budget.
The most accurate way to learn your cost is to have a licensed electrician evaluate your project. We review your hot tub’s requirements and the installation location. We assess your panel capacity and the wiring run involved. From there, we build a transparent estimate that lists each part of the work clearly. You will know exactly what you are paying for before we begin. We never add hidden charges once the job is underway. This honest approach has earned the trust of homeowners throughout Burleson. Call Wallace Electric today for an accurate hot tub wiring quote.
A hot tub needs a dedicated circuit sized for its specific power requirements. Most hot tubs require a 240 volt circuit, much like a large appliance. The circuit serves only the hot tub and nothing else. This dedicated circuit ensures the hot tub gets the power it needs. The circuit must be GFCI protected for safety around the water. The conductors must be sized for the hot tub’s amperage and the run distance. The exact requirements depend on your specific hot tub model. The manufacturer’s specifications tell us what the hot tub requires.
The dedicated circuit is essential for several reasons. A hot tub draws significant power for its heater, pump, and jets. Sharing a circuit would overload it and trip the breaker. A dedicated circuit prevents this and provides reliable operation. The 240 volt requirement matches the demands of most hot tubs. The GFCI protection guards against the shock hazard of the wet environment. These requirements all work together to keep the hot tub safe. This is why a dedicated, properly sized circuit is necessary.
Our electricians install the right circuit for your specific hot tub. We read the manufacturer’s specifications for the requirements. We size the circuit, breaker, and conductors accordingly. We confirm your panel can support the new circuit. We install the GFCI protection and the dedicated circuit to code. We test everything to confirm safe, reliable operation. This ensures your hot tub has exactly the power it needs. For the right hot tub circuit, trust the team at Wallace Electric.
Yes, a hot tub absolutely requires GFCI protection by code. The combination of water and electricity creates a serious shock hazard. A GFCI senses tiny current leaks and cuts power in a fraction of a second. This rapid response can prevent a serious or even fatal shock. The code requires GFCI protection for hot tub circuits without exception. This is one of the most important safety features of the installation. Skipping or bypassing the GFCI would create a deadly hazard. Proper GFCI protection is essential for any hot tub.
The GFCI protection works to keep you safe in the water. A hot tub places people in water near electrical equipment. If a fault occurs, current could flow through the water. The GFCI detects this leakage and cuts power instantly. This happens far faster than a standard breaker would react. The speed is what makes the difference for safety. This is why the code mandates GFCI protection for hot tubs. It is the key safeguard against the shock hazard.
Our electricians install GFCI protection correctly for your hot tub. We install the proper GFCI device for the circuit. We wire it correctly so it provides full protection. We test the protection to confirm it works as designed. We never compromise on this critical safety feature. We follow the code requirements precisely for your protection. This ensures it is safe to enjoy your hot tub. For proper GFCI protection on your hot tub, contact Wallace Electric.
A hot tub disconnect is a switch that cuts power to the hot tub. It lets you shut off the power quickly in an emergency. It also lets a technician safely cut power before servicing the tub. The code requires a disconnect for hot tub installations. The disconnect must be within sight of the hot tub. This lets someone reach it quickly when needed. It must also be at a safe distance from the tub. This prevents anyone from reaching it while in the water.
The placement of the disconnect is specified by code. It must be within sight, meaning visible from the hot tub. It must be at least a certain distance away for safety. This distance keeps it out of reach of someone in the water. The disconnect must be a type approved for this use. It must be installed where it is accessible but safe. These requirements balance accessibility with safety. Our electricians know and follow these placement rules precisely.
Our electricians install the disconnect correctly for your hot tub. We place it within sight at the proper safe distance. We install a disconnect approved for this application. We wire it so it cuts power to the hot tub completely. We confirm it meets all the code requirements. We test it to ensure it works correctly. This gives you a safe way to cut power when needed. For a properly installed hot tub disconnect, contact Wallace Electric.
A hot tub needs bonding to eliminate dangerous voltage differences. Bonding connects all the metal parts around the hot tub together. This includes the tub’s metal components and nearby metal. With everything bonded, there is no voltage difference between metal parts. Without bonding, a person touching two metal parts could be shocked. The bonding creates a safe equal potential around the hot tub. This is a critical but often overlooked safety requirement. The code specifies the bonding requirements for hot tubs.
Bonding works by creating an equipotential plane. When all metal is bonded, it sits at the same electrical potential. This means no current would flow between metal parts. A person touching two bonded parts feels no shock. Without bonding, stray voltage could create a dangerous difference. Bonding eliminates that risk around the hot tub. This protects everyone using or near the hot tub. It is an essential part of a safe installation.
Our electricians install the bonding correctly for your hot tub. We connect all the required metal parts together. We follow the code requirements for hot tub bonding. We bond the tub, nearby metal, and surrounding areas as required. We confirm the bonding is complete and correct. This eliminates the voltage difference hazard. This careful work is part of what makes our installations safe. For proper hot tub bonding, trust the team at Wallace Electric.
Most hot tubs cannot and should not plug into a regular outlet. A standard outlet provides 120 volts on a shared circuit. Most hot tubs require a 240 volt dedicated circuit instead. A regular outlet cannot provide the power most hot tubs need. Using one would overload the circuit and trip the breaker. It would also lack the GFCI protection a hot tub requires. Some small plug in models exist, but most need hardwired circuits. For most hot tubs, a regular outlet is simply not adequate.
The power requirements of hot tubs explain this clearly. A hot tub heats water and runs pumps and jets continuously. This demands far more power than a regular outlet supplies. A 240 volt dedicated circuit meets this demand reliably. The circuit also includes the required GFCI protection and disconnect. A regular outlet has none of these features. Trying to use one would be unsafe and against code. This is why most hot tubs need professional wiring.
Our electricians install the proper circuit your hot tub needs. We read your hot tub’s requirements to determine the circuit. We install a dedicated 240 volt circuit for most models. We include the GFCI protection, disconnect, and bonding. We confirm your panel can support the new circuit. We install everything to code for safe operation. This gives your hot tub the proper power it requires. For proper hot tub wiring, contact the team at Wallace Electric.
Whether your panel can support a hot tub depends on its capacity. A hot tub adds a significant load to your electrical system. Your panel needs an open slot and enough spare capacity. Many homes have the capacity for a hot tub without changes. Others may need an upgrade to support the added load. The only way to know is a load calculation. This adds the hot tub’s demand to your existing load. The result tells us whether your panel can handle it.
Several factors determine whether your panel has enough capacity. The size of your electrical service sets the ceiling. Your existing appliances and their demand affect the remaining capacity. The hot tub’s power requirements add to the total. A home near its capacity may need an upgrade. A home with spare capacity can often add the hot tub directly. We factor all of these into the load calculation. This gives us an accurate picture of your capacity.
If your panel cannot support the hot tub, we have solutions. A service upgrade can increase your home’s total capacity. A subpanel can sometimes provide the needed circuit. We perform the load calculation and explain your options. We recommend the right approach without overselling. We never connect a hot tub to a panel that cannot support it. We treat the hot tub and your capacity as one project. To find out if your panel can support a hot tub, contact Wallace Electric.
Yes, wiring a hot tub requires a permit in Texas jurisdictions. Cities around Burleson, including those in Tarrant and Johnson counties, enforce this requirement. A permit triggers an inspection that confirms the work meets the National Electrical Code. This process protects you, your home, and any future owners of the property. The dedicated circuit, GFCI protection, disconnect, and bonding are all inspected. Skipping the permit can lead to fines and a requirement to redo the work. It can also create problems when you sell or insure your home. Wallace Electric handles the permitting process so you never have to navigate it alone.
The permit and inspection are especially important for hot tubs. The shock hazard makes proper, inspected work essential. The inspection confirms the GFCI, disconnect, and bonding are correct. A licensed electrician knows the requirements for your installation. We determine the permit requirements before we begin the work. We pull the permit and schedule the inspection on your behalf. This saves you time and ensures the work is documented. That documentation is valuable when you sell or insure your home.
Attempting hot tub wiring without a permit creates real risks. Unpermitted work can complicate a home sale or an insurance claim. If the work fails a later inspection, you may have to redo it. Hot tub wiring done incorrectly is also dangerous, which is why inspection matters. The cost of a permit is minor compared to these consequences. Wallace Electric never cuts this corner, because your safety comes first. We manage the entire permitting and inspection process as part of our service. For permitted hot tub wiring done right, trust the licensed team at Wallace Electric.
