The service provided was OUTSTANDING. Wallace Electric exceeded my expectations. I cannot say enough good things about this business. They did everything they said they were going to do and more. First. They were on time. Second, they were honest. Third, they were the ultimate professionals. Fourth, the product they installed works properly. Fifth, the installation was clean...they even cleaned up the mess after thr installation. Sixth, they were genuinely nice people. Seventh, I plan on calling them back for other work in my home. Seth did a great job setting my new pendant Lights. Very professional and reasonably priced.
Thank you Seth for your professionalism and explaining the work to be done in detail. Definitely recommend their small business for all electrical needs.
We hired this electrician for our breaker panel replacement in Dallas after buying an older home. The existing panel wasn’t up to code and couldn’t support the modern appliances that got installed by the previous owner. They installed a new electrical service panel, whole home surge protection & hosted a city inspection. He explained everything very clearly. If you’re in need of a home electrical panel upgrade, I highly recommend them. The work was clean, efficient and the whole process was stress-free. Great experience from start to finish thanks guys!
Wallace Electric replaced some lighting fixtures as well as hung new ones for me at a reasonable price. They were able to come out the day after our estimate and even being behind schedule, were still able to finish the job. Everything looks exactly as I hoped. Highly recommend this family business.
These guys are awesome - I was painting for a customer and removed the can lights to remove popcorn texture, however they required some adjustment because of the new ceiling height. Wallace was hired by the customer to do other light renovations and so I asked them if they could add on a small scope. I know this was a big ask because it's always difficult to change your scope of work especially late at night as they were ( the customer was moving in the next day and working hard to add extra touches). But their service was awesome and obviously very skilled because the modification was quick and professional and the customer loved the seamless service. I also found the prices very affordable and would continue to do business with them.
Seth did an awesome job installing two ceiling fans. He did a great job of answering other questions I asked him. He was very friendly and respectful. He wired a Blink doorbell for free. Other companies where charging me $50 to connect two wires. I definitely would recommend using them and I will use them again if I need additional service.
I cannot say enough how great Wallace electric is, they came very fast at 10pm at night, we had an emergency and lost power in all outlets and lights. They had everything up and running in no time. Great attitudes, very smart, highly knowledgeable, nice guys. I will be using them in the future 110%, this is the type of company that is a gem and I very highly recommend them. They let u know all pricing up front, no hidden fees, answered all my questions, gave quotes for future projects. If you are needing an electrician in down, then call Wallace electric, I know I will.
I needed an outlet installed in my garage for my fridge and they installed it for me. Very fast and professional.
I had a fan transferred from master bedroom to game room and a new fan placed in the master bedroom. He was in and out like a breeze. Answered all questions and explained everything clearly. The best part is they are a local family owned business in my area.
Seth replaced 5 outlets, a few breaker switches, and fixed some broken switches and added grounding to them. He was very professional, explained what he was doing, and did everything up to code. We also got a promotional discount and a 2-year warranty. Overall a very pleasant experience and I'll be using the company if anything should happen in the future.
They rewired my house, and the customer service was exceptional and they accommodated all my needs, and answered all my questions. And did great work.
trustworthy! great work! They replaced my electrical panel and switches! they were very very professional would recommend!
Seth did a great job fixing my wiring in our breaker box and upgrading our ceiling fan. Fast worker and super friendly!
I was having some built in shelves installed that required an outlet. Caleb came recommended from my installer. Caleb set up an appointment and came out that next week. Caleb and his partner came on time and got right to work. They were absolutely great to work with. They were professional and treated my home with respect. The outlet was installed to the exact specifications that was needed by the installer. After they were done they made sure everything was I working order and then cleaned up. I was highly impressed. I will definitely be using his services again and will recommend him to my friends and family.

Home Addition Wiring Service
A home addition adds valuable new living space to your home, and that new space needs its own carefully planned electrical wiring. No matter if you are adding a bedroom, a sunroom, a master suite, or an entire second story, the wiring must be designed correctly. Wallace Electric provides professional home addition wiring for homes of all kinds throughout Burleson and the surrounding communities we serve. New rooms need plenty of outlets, good lighting, multiple switches, and often dedicated circuits for heating, cooling, and special equipment. The wiring in any addition must integrate seamlessly with your existing electrical system in order to work as one. This integration is genuinely one of the most important parts of the entire job, since the new addition draws all of its power from your main panel. Our licensed electricians always carefully plan the wiring around how you will use the new space and exactly what it requires. They always confirm your electrical panel can support the added load before any of the work begins. We carefully design and install absolutely everything to the National Electrical Code, just as we would for brand new construction. Properly wired from the very start, your home addition becomes a comfortable, functional, and truly safe extension of your home.
Every single home addition has its own unique electrical needs based entirely on how the new space will be used. A brand new bedroom needs well placed outlets, good overhead ceiling lighting, and switches arranged for both comfort and convenience. A new bathroom addition needs GFCI protected outlets, proper lighting, good ventilation, and often a dedicated circuit for heating. A new kitchen expansion needs many dedicated circuits for the major appliances along with GFCI protected countertop outlets. A new sunroom or a new living space needs flexible outlets and warm lighting for relaxing and entertaining guests. A new home office addition needs plenty of outlets and several dedicated circuits for computers, monitors, and other equipment. A brand new master suite combines the bedroom, bathroom, and closet wiring all together into one larger project. Each and every one of these spaces calls for wiring that is designed specifically for its intended purpose. Our electricians always plan the entire wiring layout very carefully around your vision for the new space. This thoughtful and tailored approach ensures the new addition has exactly the electrical service that it needs.
Integrating a brand new addition with your existing electrical system is a genuinely critical part of the work. The new wiring must always connect back to your main panel, which provides all the power for the addition. This means your existing electrical panel must have both the capacity and the open slots to support all the new circuits. We always perform a careful load calculation to confirm your electrical system can comfortably handle the added demand. If your main panel happens to be completely full, we may add a dedicated subpanel to provide all the new circuits. If your electrical service turns out to be undersized, we may recommend a full service upgrade for the added load. We then carefully route the new wiring so that it connects cleanly with the existing electrical system. We always make sure that the finished addition functions as a completely seamless part of your existing home. This careful integration work is exactly where the real experience of a licensed electrician truly matters most. Done right, you will never even notice exactly where the original wiring ends and the new wiring begins.
The timing of the electrical work in any home addition follows a very specific and important sequence. The rough in stage happens after the framing is complete but well before the walls are closed up. During the rough in stage, we run all of the wiring, set the boxes, and prepare each one of the circuits. This is really the one and only time when the wiring is fully accessible and genuinely easy to install correctly. Once the rough in passes its inspection, the walls can then be insulated and finally closed up for good. The finish stage happens later, after the walls are fully finished and painted. During the finish stage, we install all of the outlets, switches, and fixtures, and then connect everything together. We then thoroughly test the entire electrical system to confirm it works correctly and safely. This careful, proven sequence ensures the wiring is installed properly and inspected at exactly the right stages. Coordinating with your builder keeps the electrical work on schedule with the rest of the project.
Electrical capacity is truly one of the single most important considerations in any home addition project at all. Any home addition adds several new circuits, which all increase the total load on your existing electrical system. Your main electrical panel must have both the capacity and the open space to support all of those new circuits. Many existing homes already have just enough spare capacity for a modest addition without any changes at all. A much larger addition, however, may well push your existing electrical system beyond its current capacity. A careful load calculation tells us exactly if your system can handle the entire addition. If more capacity is genuinely needed, a new subpanel or a full service upgrade provides it safely. We never overload your electrical system, since doing that would create a real safety hazard. We always treat the addition wiring and your home’s overall electrical capacity together as one connected project. This honest and upfront assessment ensures your new addition gets all the power it needs without any risk at all.
Working on a home addition very often means coordinating closely with your builder or your general contractor. The electrical work must fit neatly into the overall construction schedule at exactly the right times. We then carefully coordinate both the rough in and the finish stages with all the other trades on the project. We communicate clearly with everyone so that the electrical work never holds up the rest of the build. We also pull all the permits and schedule the inspections that the electrical work requires. We work right alongside your builder and all the other trades to keep the entire project moving smoothly. Our many years of experience with additions means we know exactly how to fit into any construction timeline. This kind of careful coordination keeps your entire project on track and avoids costly delays. We treat your entire addition project as a true partnership focused on a great result. This collaborative and team focused approach is a very large part of what makes our addition wiring service so valuable.

The Importance of a Licensed Electrician for Home Addition Wiring in Burleson, TX
Wiring a home addition is significant work that demands a licensed electrician. A licensed professional integrates the new wiring with your existing system correctly. In Texas, electrical licensing is regulated by the state to protect homeowners from unqualified work. A licensed electrician performs the load calculation to confirm your capacity. They know when a subpanel or service upgrade is needed for the addition. They design and install the wiring to the National Electrical Code. They handle the rough in and finish stages at the right times. They pull the permits and schedule the inspections the work requires. A licensed electrician also carries insurance that protects you if something goes wrong. Improperly wired additions can overload your panel or create fire hazards. Unpermitted addition wiring can also complicate a future home sale. Wallace Electric sends only licensed, background checked technicians to every addition, so the work is always done right.
24/7 EMERGENCY SUPPORT
Electrical problems can happen without warning and often require immediate attention to keep your home safe. Commonly Asked Home Addition Wiring Questions
Home addition wiring raises several practical questions about cost, capacity, and timing. The answers below address the topics homeowners across Burleson ask us about most often.
The cost to wire a home addition depends on several factors unique to your project. The size of the addition is a major factor, since larger spaces need more wiring. The number of circuits, outlets, switches, and fixtures affects the total. The type of space matters, since a kitchen needs more than a bedroom. Whether your panel can support the addition or needs an upgrade is important. A subpanel or service upgrade adds to the cost but provides needed capacity. The complexity of integrating with your existing system affects the labor. Because every addition differs, Wallace Electric provides a clear written quote before any work begins.
Several elements make up the total cost of addition wiring. The wire, devices, fixtures, and materials are part of the price. The labor reflects the skill and time required for the work. The rough in and finish stages each involve their own work. Any needed panel upgrade or subpanel adds to the scope. Permit and inspection fees add a modest amount to the project. We assess all of these factors before quoting so there are no surprises. Financing options are available to make a larger addition easier on your budget.
The most accurate way to learn your cost is to have a licensed electrician evaluate your project. We review the addition plans and discuss how you will use the space. We assess your panel capacity and the integration the project requires. From there, we build a transparent estimate that lists each part of the work clearly. You will know exactly what you are paying for before we begin. We never add hidden charges once the job is underway. This honest approach has earned the trust of homeowners throughout Burleson. Call Wallace Electric today for an accurate addition wiring quote.
Whether your panel can support an addition depends on its capacity and your load. An addition adds new circuits that draw from your main panel. Your panel must have open slots and enough spare capacity for those circuits. Many homes have enough capacity for a modest addition without changes. A larger addition may push your system beyond its current capacity. The only way to know for sure is a load calculation. This calculation adds the addition’s demand to your existing load. The result tells us whether your panel can handle the addition.
Several factors determine whether your panel has enough capacity. The size of your electrical service sets the overall ceiling. Your existing appliances and their demand affect the remaining capacity. The size and type of the addition determine the added load. A small bedroom addition adds far less than a kitchen expansion. We factor all of these into the load calculation. This gives us an accurate picture of your capacity. From there, we know whether changes are needed.
If your panel cannot support the addition, we have solutions. A subpanel can provide the new circuits the addition needs. A service upgrade can increase your home’s total capacity. The right solution depends on your panel and the addition’s demand. Our electricians perform the load calculation and explain your options. We recommend the right approach without overselling. We treat the addition and your capacity as one project. To find out if your panel can support your addition, contact Wallace Electric.
You may or may not need a subpanel for a home addition. A subpanel makes sense when the addition needs several new circuits. It provides circuit space and local control right in the new space. For a larger addition, a subpanel is often the cleanest solution. It lets us run one feeder to the addition rather than many circuits. The breakers for the addition are then located conveniently nearby. A smaller addition may not need a subpanel if your panel has room. The right approach depends on the addition and your panel capacity.
A subpanel offers practical advantages for many additions. It keeps the addition’s circuits organized in one place. It frees up the consideration of running many long circuits from the main panel. It provides room for future circuits in the new space. For a second story or distant addition, a subpanel is especially useful. The feeder carries the power, and the subpanel distributes it locally. This is efficient and tidy for a larger addition. Our electricians help you decide if a subpanel fits your project.
Our electricians determine the right approach for your addition. We perform a load calculation to assess your panel capacity. We evaluate the addition’s circuit needs and layout. We recommend a subpanel when it is the best solution. We install the subpanel and feeder correctly and to code. We keep the neutral and ground separate as required in a subpanel. We test everything to confirm safe, reliable power. To find out if your addition needs a subpanel, contact Wallace Electric.
Electrical work in an addition happens in two main stages. The first is the rough in stage, which comes after framing. During rough in, we run the wiring, set the boxes, and prepare the circuits. This happens while the walls are open and the wiring is accessible. The rough in must pass inspection before the walls are closed. The second stage is the finish stage, after the walls are done. During finish, we install the outlets, switches, fixtures, and make connections. We then test the system to confirm everything works correctly.
The timing of these stages fits into the overall construction schedule. The rough in happens after framing but before insulation and drywall. This timing is critical, since the wiring must be in before walls close. The finish happens after the walls are painted and ready. Coordinating these stages with the builder keeps the project on track. We work with the other trades to fit our work in at the right times. This coordination avoids delays and keeps the project moving. Our experience with additions helps us time everything correctly.
Our electricians coordinate the electrical work with your construction timeline. We schedule the rough in to fit after framing and before drywall. We schedule the finish to fit after the walls are completed. We communicate with your builder to align with the other trades. We pull the permits and schedule the inspections at each stage. We keep the work on schedule so it does not delay the project. This careful timing ensures the wiring is done right at each stage. To coordinate the electrical work for your addition, contact Wallace Electric.
Yes, wiring a home addition requires a permit in Texas jurisdictions. Cities around Burleson, including those in Tarrant and Johnson counties, enforce this requirement. A permit triggers inspections that confirm the work meets the National Electrical Code. This process protects you, your home, and any future owners of the property. Addition wiring is significant, so the permit and inspections are important. The rough in and finish stages each require their own inspection. Skipping the permit can lead to fines and a requirement to redo the work. Wallace Electric handles the permitting process so you never have to navigate it alone.
The permit requirements for an addition can be involved. The electrical work is often part of a larger construction permit. A licensed electrician knows which electrical permits and inspections apply. We determine the requirements before we begin the work. We pull the permits and schedule the inspections on your behalf. We coordinate the inspections with the construction timeline. This ensures the work is properly documented at each stage. That documentation is valuable when you sell or insure your home.
Attempting addition wiring without a permit creates real risks. Unpermitted work can complicate a home sale or an insurance claim. If the work fails a later inspection, you may have to redo it. Addition wiring done incorrectly is also dangerous, which is why inspection matters. The cost of a permit is minor compared to these consequences. Wallace Electric never cuts this corner, because your safety comes first. We manage the entire permitting and inspection process as part of our service. For permitted addition wiring done right, trust the licensed team at Wallace Electric.
The time to wire a home addition depends on its size and complexity. A small addition may take only a few days of electrical work. A larger addition takes longer due to more circuits and wiring. The work happens in two stages, rough in and finish, spread across the project. The rough in happens after framing, and the finish happens after the walls. Between these stages, other trades complete their work. So the electrical work spans the overall construction timeline. The actual electrical labor is often less than the calendar time suggests.
Several factors affect the electrical timeline for an addition. The size and number of circuits affect the rough in time. Any panel upgrade or subpanel adds to the work. The complexity of integrating with the existing system matters. The coordination with other trades affects the scheduling. We plan our work to fit the construction schedule efficiently. We complete the rough in promptly so the walls can close. We complete the finish promptly so the space is ready.
Our electricians work efficiently while keeping every step to code. We schedule our stages to align with the construction timeline. We communicate clearly so you know when our work happens. We avoid delays that would hold up the rest of the project. We complete each stage thoroughly and pass each inspection. We test the system before we consider the work complete. This keeps your addition project on track from start to finish. For a clear timeline on your addition wiring, contact Wallace Electric.
Yes, Wallace Electric wires home additions of every type. We wire bedroom additions with outlets, lighting, and switches. We wire bathroom additions with GFCI protection, lighting, and ventilation. Each type of addition has its own electrical requirements. A kitchen needs many dedicated circuits for appliances. A bathroom needs GFCI protection and ventilation circuits.
